  1. I wonder how this compares to the Sony 4k Short Throw Projector? Nonetheless, it would be awesome to have a projector throw a gigantic image on the wall especially if you don't have the distance in your room.

    LMG Christmas Album

Yaaas, this will be playing full blast at my Christmas Party tomorrow! Btw, are there 2 missing songs? Hark, The PC Gamers Sing, and the bonus? Just noticed that when I was watching over the promo vid again. ty!
  3. For my brother, I would get a PS4 (link: http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-500GB-Console-Uncharted-Collection-4/dp/B016P6KIFY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8). I'm usually the techy one in the family and would like to get something that we would be able to enjoy together.
  4. THe smart switch is pretty cool. Would be nice to see that in other devices as well.
  5. I think this is what the market is missing most, there should be more offerings with some sort of demo mode that you can pay for if you really like the game. But steam looks to be heading in the right direction with their refund system. And yes, pirating is still pirating.
  6. Most people would recommend a Samsung drive, but I have multiple brands and haven't noticed a huge difference in performance or reliability as of yet.

  8. I have the SanDisk drive and it's amazing, faster than most internal HDDs today on sequentials plus it's great at 4k random writes which is very important. Edit: I'm not sure about Kingston drives, they are reliable but the random performance has been quite weak in my experience with them.
  9. Got it from newegg, emailed me a few days later the code.
  10. If you don't mind, I would test it. See if you get better temperatures with it on or off. I would assume it would improve temperatures even if only just a bit.
  11. Either way you go (970 vs 280), unless you're doing some heavy compute you won't really need the 8g VRAM for a 1080p monitor. Edit: Actually, depending on what application you are using, either card could be better though I don't use GPU acceleration often.
  12. Thanks for the clarification. That may actually be the subscription system that you mentioned before like what they're doing with Office.
  13. I would definitely go with the i3 as a base along with the ASUS board, in case an upgrade is needed, but at least try to look for a Z97 board, there are non Z boards that are capable of overclocking but the power circuitry is not built for that. Good luck!
  14. Check the email that you used to register with the site. Or refer to your order number when you contact them. Usually it's through whatever means you used to place the order.
  15. I heard that Windows 10 would be a free upgrade for all users of 8.1/8 and $30 for Windows 7 users. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  16. I don't think a RAID would increase your loading times. You should get an SSHD, or use a quick flash drive as a cache to get a similar boost (readyboost).
  17. You're retailer should email you the code, if not contact them.
  18. I'm not familiar with your retailers but I recommend that you go with a more well known brand even if it's slightly lower rated. A 500-700w power supply should be more than enough for your rig. Possibly a little lower depending on your future plans.
  19. You can probably go with the i3 combo and add grab an extra 4gb stick and would cost about the same as the Pentium combo. The Pentium combo DOES however give you the option to upgrade in the future, as it's a Z97 board. The ASUS board is better overall. Any possibility to choose your own mobo/cpu?
  20. I'd recommend going with the i3 at least, I have the pentium and it's nice to be able to overclock, but the extra threads make it much more stable. Edit: Right, I didn't consider the memory. Could you add the cost of the bundles?
  21. If you need to use an adapter or modify the power supply, it's probably not a great choice for your system is what I'm saying. Not sure how the prices are where you live, but I know there are power supplies from more reputable brands for the same price if not much more (going by USD to GBP conversion).
  22. If you need to compromise the connectors on a power supply, you should probably go with a different one.
