  1. All that is good! I literally have nothing other than a 2.5mm passthrough to my keyboard for my headphones. So literally anything is an upgrade because it's all new equipment.
  2. So basically the purpose of the pre-amp is just to control volume? I can probably do without that at start since I'm used to using software volume anyways. I'll look into the JBL LSR305, would just need to convert two 3.5mm to a single 2.5mm or possibly some DAC solution that takes XLR or 3.5mm inputs.
  3. Might be willing to flex muscles too, but that's for another time. Anyways, I'm looking for a mid-tier speaker system to use for my desktop. I don't know jack about speakers, but I don't want to go with a cheap or expensive setup. What I want out of a system is great clarity/fidelity. Highs, mids, and lows, I wanna hear it all at a decent volume (not party-level high). If I can adjust those by myself through an amp that'd be great too. I looked around for a short while and the Arion Legacy ARDS750-BK caught my eye. But it's "BONE CRUSHING" marketing seems a bit dodgy and it seems to be claiming too much for it's lower price. I'm fine if having to build my own setup (separate amp, speakers, speaker wires, and subwoofer), is better, I can manage learning how to set it up. But if I can avoid it, that's fine too. Sidenotes: Arion Legacy ARDS750-BK is just an example, I am not specifically convinced on this one USB/BT would be nice, but not necessary (if 3.5MM aux is available, then that is plenty) If it's $250, that's fine too, heck maybe even $300 but that is pushing it Anything above $100 would probably be miles better than anything I have anyways, but I like my clarity What am I playing on it? FLAC, some MP3s, and games (but I use headphones for these). YT, and Anime (usually 24bit AAC/FLAC) Any suggestion is appreciated. It'll help me learn a little more about speakers!
  4. I would like the Zbox for a replacement of my entry level PC. I'll probably take my drives out and give my old PC to a friend to get him started on gaming. Maybe once I build a newer poorhouse I can use the ZBOX as a living-room gaming PC too.
  5. I'm not a big fan of "mobilizing" the desktop website. It's a neat design, don't get me wrong. But I go on my desktop to use a desktop versions of a site. I don't need to have one video thumbnail take up 50% of my screen or a menu button that reveals a huge menu with huge buttons. YouTube's one is better, but it would be nicer to have an always open menu bar. Quality on Vessel is slightly lower, but not enough to complain about.

  7. Xaftz, long story short, I used a random name generator, took cues and came up with Zaftz and/or Xaftz. Playing runescape at the time, I ask my friend to help me choose, she chose Xaftz because it looked better having only 1 of each letter used. This was like. 2008/2009-ish. Heh, Mine used to be ExceedingCrane7 before I changed it to DeepFriedPubez (currently my League name) ("-Pubes" variant came before that, I will explain in a bit) and that originated from me and my friend in 6th or 7th grade when we used to say "Deep Fried Telephones" for no raisin. Fast forward to 2011, "Pubes" came as a natural substitute when me and my friend (another one) suggested it. I wanted to use as a funny username, but the one containing "-Pubes" was reported within 2 weeks, I promptly used "-Pubez" and it lasted months. I guess people like edginess.
  8. I'm a mild video editor, and would love the extra cores. While I render I like to browse and watch other videos, so my current fx6300 isn't enough to do what I want in a timely manner. I'd also get more videos done!
  9. I prefer having 3 fans if it means that the card will be cooler, but overall I like the look of the Omega better and having a metal shroud just feels nicer. Not really a fan of carbon fiber if the rest of my system has no carbon fiber to complement it.
  10. I actually Like the square and flat design of the phone. I have an HTC One M7 and I am getting tired of its rounded back. And Sony's Android skin looks really nice too, especially dat keyboard. As far as dbrand, the skin looks really good. I like how it has a nice visible texture to it.
  11. My favorite part was the swiftkey comment at 4:58 I get SO frustrated at this. Makes me either want to switch keyboards half the time, but swiftkey is too gut for that.
