Problem solved. I wish I did this sooner. Had the shield for close to a year now and too many times it's late, you grab the remote and s button brings you to an advertisement you will never use. Going forward I'm doing this to every remote.

Helping a friend replace an old bridge system. It is hooked up to a TP Link router (Archer C9). I need to log into the CPE with the PharOS web interface. Using a windows laptop I disabled wifi and have both the CPE and laptop plugged into the router with ethernet. Status lights on the CPE are on and all is good there. I manually changed the IP address on the laptop to 192.168.0.10 like in the manual. No other devices on the network have that IP. I tried changing it a few times just in case to 0.40, 0.78, etc. After that's all setup it says to go to 192.168.0.254(no other device has this IP) to access the web interface but it does nothing. Using the router app I can see the laptop is connected but the CPE isn't showing up. Tried swapping the laptop going into the router with the CPE and laptop shows up so it's not the ethernet ports being used. Tried rebooting everything a few times but no luck at all. Not using a VPN or proxy or anything. Anyone have any ideas? I'm contacting TP-Link but hoping to find a solution asap to get it all working. Thanks!

I used voice to text because I have things to do but wanted to hear what people had to say. It is what it is boys. I'm certain anybody who reads what I just said will fully comprehend it no the mistakes that a Canadian has to deal with when they use voice to text.

My problem with typing casts is that you need to pretend that you're a court stenographer instead of being a normal person who just wants to type something and know how fast you're typing speed is. Thumbs are always the space bar but every now and then I always throw an extra fingers because it helps me type faster I've seen people watch me type they're like WTF are you doing and how are you doing that that fast. Yes, not using all five fingers does Slow Me Down but when it comes to what's going on in my brain and wanting to put that into pixels on a computer I can do it really fast but all typing tests act like you need to be in someone else's brain and try to type. Am I alone on this one or is this entire "how fast can you type" situation a clown show.

I always watch Steve's videos. Like everyone else some don't interest me but when he craps on prebuilds or Artesian for doing bad things I get a kick out of it. I don't buy prebuilds. I never bought Artesian. But I watch LTT and have for a long time. I'm well aware of LTT's faults. I understand all the criticism and I also understand how Steve is treating LTT the same way he does everyone else. One thing I find odd is on his video he says "This video is not monetized" but he never does that when criticizing other companies which shows he is treating this video different for some reason. Those who agree with him will argue it is because it is another peer of his and this is "sensitive". Meanwhile I argue he is not treating LTT like he does everyone else which signifies he feels shitty vs. doing what he normally knows is right. Youtubers love making a career of dragging people bigger than them through the mud to get views and prominence. It's a common thread. Not monetizing that video speaks volumes. If Steve was sincere it would be monetized.

When I saw todays video I made a snide comment. I am going to share it here but there needs to be a conversation about why I said the comment I did and why in todays climate as a Canadian conservative I have no problems with Emily. My comment: "Emily?.....uhhhh.....Hi Emily. Welcome to the LTT team. I sincerely hope you keep working at the company. I would love to see more of you." Like most people(I assume) I saw it as a gag. A tongue in cheek thing Linus does from time to time. So I started searching to see what people where thinking and I saw the video that Emily made on her channel. It is an absolute shock. A slap in the face to hear this is real. Any honest human being would say the same. But that doesn't mean it is a bad thing. It doesn't mean Adults can't be free to live life. It's just a shock. I'm not going into politics but I feel like The vast majority on each side can sit down, talk and easily fix the world. It's the crazy people on both sides who make every human being on earth look bad. I am glad Emily is back. My brain is still melting from how much courage and strength it would take to do this. Adults can do anything they want. Emily and LTT are going to take heat from this but it's senseless. People tied up and roped into politics so deep that they demand adults not be allowed to be free. Thanks friend. Like 99% of citizens faster mobile speeds are useless because of the cost. Blows my mind how fast networks say they are but at those speeds your monthly data is gone in less than 10 minutes if you go for it. Parents have a nano sim as old as mine. It's frustrating.

My mind frame right now is someone took advantage of my parents. I've dug deep and wonder how can a stationary sim card wear out. Sim card hasn't been removed since the iphone 8 was new. Do sim cards go bad? Looking online I am meant to think yes but maybe my anger is blinding me. This one is new to me and when you look for answers it's insane what comes up. Going by search results, sim cards wear out over time. No water damage to the phone, cracks, anything. It makes zero sense because a SIM card is a "Hi, it's me. Lets use your phone hardware and get on the data highway"" If you know more than I do I please ask you share.

I was a hardcore Apple fanboy. I owned everything. ipad, phone, tv, watch, macbook. They did something that pissed me off and that was it. I moved to Samsung Galaxy. It took at least a year to fully say I not longer care about their ecosystem. It was brutal because of the ecosystem. That was around 3 years ago or so. The problem is I felt like I wasted so much time. How the hell am I going to be able to replicate this. The first 6-9 months was brutal. The saving grace was a music app. Not mentioning it because this isn't an advertisement. At the time I loved music and my mind was blown how you have so much freedom. It's all about freedom. Then you explore more. Sideloading apps was the game changer. Apple milked me for so much money but over on the Android side there's a great community with awesome apps you don't need to pay for. It's rough. Just deal with it and give it time. It will take a couple months to get out of the walled garden but you just gotta stick with it. Be willing to learn and try new things. At gunpoint I will never go back to Apple. The "how in hell can I move" ecosystem is designed on purpose. -Legit fanboy for so many years.

My dad found 2 old laptops. One is a Compaq Presario 2100(Boots into XP no problem) The other is an HP Pavilion N3478. It posts just fine but I can't get it to recognize the drive(See attached photos) The hard drive in it people are selling broken for $20. It's gotta be 10+ years since I saw a drive with pins. This one has some weird attachment that goes on it. Would any 2.5" drive with pins work? This has been interesting. I'm honest and say what I think and so have people like you. Going by the numbers, I am wrong. The vast vast VAST majority of reactions I have gotten are very one sided. I respect it. I will never sit here and start a shit storm but will admit as someone who by popular vote "Is wrong", I still don't think I am.
