  1. Good ole' Fibonacci is usually a good place to start with recursion.
  2. Unless you're doing really in depth parallel processing then basically anything will get you through. As a hobbyist, I doubt you'll get thousands of lines for any of your projects. Cheap parts + SSD will be pretty solid. Grab a used HP8300(great bang for the buck) and fit it with an SSD. HP8300 uses the same chipset as Macs at the time so you can even load it with MacOS for a SUPER easy hacintosh with everything working.
  3. It's not just the band, the Watch with the steel band is also made of different materials. It has a stainless steel body, and sapphire screen. educate yourself
  4. Nope, I built both these computers. Both have Windows 7 64 bit. I do know the essential processes for windows, which are not the ones I closed out. Just for the record, I wouldn't go online for this if it wasn't something abnormal. I do know my way around a PC pretty well.
  5. I actually have 2 desktops next to each other, so I KNOW that it can go below 2GB because the other is running at 1.12GB with an application running. And I have looked at system processes hence the "most processes closed out"
  6. I cannot get my CPU usage below 30% and I can't get my RAM usage below 2GB, that's with no apps running and most processes closed out. I had an error with windows the other day. What can I do to fix this so I can get on with my work and gaming?
  7. The G502 has enough buttons for me to have about half of the keybinds of the Naga, but I only need 4 for my actual work Here's some pics of parts and upgrades GTX 970 ITX vs R9 280. The 970 is much more powerful. Just smashes this thing. 8GB of 1866 G.Skill Ripjax X series RAM, may have to upgrade this to a 16GB kit because I'm a tab fiend. Hard drives, unsure about putting in the Corsair or the HDD. I'm considering getting a 4TB SSHD from barracuda to mount in the floor of the case while putting an 850 Pro in the front with the EVO. I've got 3 Gentle Typhoons ready to go into the little bad boy. Thickness difference between my old unibody Macbook and the new Macbook Pro. The weight difference between the 2 is almost as ridiculous as the power difference. My Amiibo now has a place to sit, ontop on the old dead ODD
  8. My gigabyte itx has no coil whine.
  9. Went and picked up a new mouse today. I basically got it for 10$ because of a mess up with my order/marking down the price of the G502 after I ordered it. It's replacing my good old Razer Naga Molten that has served me well over the years.
  10. Project Miniaturization Welcome all to my first build log here on the forums. It's been a long time coming I suppose. I currently have a full sized rig in a Corsair 650D, but I am about to be in a house with 4 other people and cant really afford the extra table that I have to put it on. I decided that I will be downsizing and upgrading at the same time. Though I might be posting another build log that I am doing for a friend at a later time. Since the goal was to take my current build smaller, I decided that finding a good case would be the hardest part for me. While I was looking for cases I stumbled upon the NCASE M1 and loved it, until I found out that they were limited production runs. After checking on the NCase facebook I saw that they would be doing another run starting in November and would be shipping them in December. It fell in line with everything else perfectly. 13. I was under the impression that physics computations were handled by GPUs, hence PhysX.
  14. Just got my GTX 970 to replace my XFX DD 280, heres the scores page: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/4928731 Are these scores alright? I noticed the physics tests were pretty shitty. Not sure why, I feel like I've seen other people break 10k firestrike with the 970. No coil whine right now though, big plus.
  15. I believe I'm changing the PSU to the upcoming Silverstone SX-500LG, it comes with a 120mm fan. Supposed to be much better than the current 450 or 600. Also comes with the PP05 cables ;D
