  1. Actually, I was considering going the ECC memory route as I wanted to 4 sticks of 32gb to fill out the 128gb limit of the MOBO. Then add water cooling to get the RGB effect. But, you can only get 32GB DDR4 @2400MHz. I don't know if 128gb of 2400MHz of ram will be better than 64gb of 3600MHz, I am guessing the later will be faster up until 64gb. Anyway, that was what I was thinking about.
  2. I will show you my specs, there is no cooler as it is all water cooled. I really did not want to build another PC if I could help it. 3. I was joking and yes server room vlog was a great watch.
  4. Yeah, I am kinda looking for that literature here. Any help?
  5. This video, We FINISHED the $100,000 PC! - 6 Editors 1 CPU Pt. 6
  6. The thing is, without the extra RTX 2080ti, the build is about $15,000 , so if I can add one more RTX 2080ti and run a gaming PC off that, to me it is worth it.
  7. Hey all, After watching Linus video where he ran 8 gaming monitors off one PC, I was really interested in doing the same, but with two users. I have two RTX 2080ti cards and I want to be able to run two users at the same time. The video did not explain how Linus did it, so I am asking here. How do do this? Cheers
  8. Hey all, Anyone know what is a good displayport cable capable of 1at least 120hz with a 4K monitor and a 30ft lenght? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Just want to be sure I don't fry the CPU. I heard that you could just attatch the water block and that should be enough to dissipate any heat for a short while. I was going to have the ends far away from the PC, so no chance of water damage. Don't have a fan cooler for this CPU Do you go into BIOS doing this?
  10. I tore this down, I was not happy with the motherboard I had a ROG Strix X570-E Gaming and I ordered a ROG Crosshair VIII Formula as it also has built in water cooling for the MOBO. This seems to fit better into my build. This is the 4th tear down due to parts I was not happy with.
  11. Hey All, A question about testing if your hardware boots when you are water cooling? Can you attach the water block to the CPU and then attach two hard tubes in a vertical position, put some water in the tubes and then fire it up? What I am concerned about is obviously there will not be any flow, but I am thinking that for a couple of minutes to maybe 5 minutes that the very small amount of water in the block and tubes will be enough. Is that considered OK?
  12. Oh really, but I doubt they would do something like that for a lowly consumer. But thanks for the compliment. Once I get it all finished, still have cable management and I am not happy with a couple of bends, some runs are a few millimeters off horizontal and vertical planes. No one would ever be able to pick it up, but b/c I measured them I know they are there and it is killing me. Yeah, it weighs a ton!!!
  13. UPDATE: Not sure if I should say this here, but since I was using jumper to continuously test my water loop I just automatically associated power to the pumps etc with a flick of the PSU switch. To actually say what the issue was... I did not turn on the PC from the case switch.Problem solved. Sorry about that.
  14. OK, update. Looks like I had everything plugged in correctly. So back to square one, the only thing that turns on is the MOBO's RGB. Any ideas?
  15. Well, I just checked with a PC shop and the guy says, by doing what I did I could have fried the MOBO and or the CPU. Now I have to wait a couple of hours until I finish work to see if I did. Sigh, building PC's is so exciting!!!
  16. Two 8 pin cables from the GPU to designated GPU slots in the PSU. I have one 8 pin going from the CPU to the designated CPU 8 pin slot in the PSU. I have one 4 pin cable going from the CPU to the 6 pin peripheral slot. Also , the runs are long so I have 30cm cable extensions. I attached a pic of where I am plugging them in. EDIT: Looking the pic, there must be an 8 pin that can be broken to two 4 pins, maybe that is the issue?
  17. Hey all, new build here, MOBO = ASUS AMD ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING PSU = Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER GRAND RGB 1200W CPU = AMD Ryzen 9 3900X RAM = 64gb G-Skill GPU = RTX 2080ti Memory = Sabrent 2TB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 When turn the PSU on the only thing seems to turn on is the MOBO's RGB above the io shield. Nothing else does anything, no fans, no GPU, no RAM RGB, nothing. I checked the PSU and it powers everything with a jumper, all fans and pumps work fine. I checked the MOBO's error code and that does not even start up, so I was wondering if was maybe that I plugged a cable into the wrong part of the PSU. Why I say that is b/c the PSU has a specific place to plug in the 8 pin CPU power cables and 8 pin GPU cables. But this MOBO also has a 4 pin and the only 4 pin cable that came with PSU will only plug in another port not specified for CPU power. Also , I should mention I don't have any fans plugged into the CPU fan header, as I am water cooling this with a non AIO. Any ideas what this issue might be?
  18. LOL, That is my kind thinking! I mounted a single fan rad b/c there was still room on the case.
  19. Yeah, I did the same thing and I have 10 unused fans that I could not figure out how to set up with other Thermaltake fans. I just ended up buying all Thermaltake. Yeah, I did go a bit far. LOL In my defence the Thermaltake Core P7 is a big case to fit out!!!
  20. That was my plan, then I keep changing it! LOL Maybe for next time, I already have everything bought and mounted. Just waiting on one more thing to finish the loop. Plus, not to mention that this RGB crap and mixing brands is a nightmare!!!
  21. Yeah, before I started I was thinking couple hundred for the pumps, some tubing and fittings, maybe $500-$600. Forgot about radiators, fans and whatever else and not to mention that fittings are expensive for sure!
