  1. that's what I originally was asking about. custom builders. there aren't enough people out there looking for a one of a kind 3 thousand dollar rig. so im getting from this... you have to do other things. not just customs or refurbs. thanks everyone.
  2. that is def. a part of it. its like free 2 play games. they attract people from every crowd... so the asshats come out..
  3. exactly. ive been guilty of it. go to best buy to try out the headphones. then go to amazon for 3/4 of the price.. for me, without a storefront. I use the online marketplaces. FB, craigslis, let go.t for exposure. but there is so much clutter. so many ads. so many trolls
  4. all the "PC" shops in my area have usually closed up just as quick as they've opened. there are a few that have lasted. they have switched to mostly phone repairs and sales.
  5. ive been selling refurbs of older i3's and i5's and some customs here and there. its slow goin. cant live off it. ide like to be able to do it for a living though. people are always looking for a pc as cheap as possible. so I give them that option lol
  6. I wasn't implying that I believe a storefront to be the only way. very situational like you said. but I think it couldn't hurt. unless its barren and dirty and doesn't represent you well lol. ive seen some shady lookin pc storefronts
  7. my buddy just had this problem. got the asus tuf x570. he would only boot with one stick in . so im guessing your guys memory isn't on the QVL list. lol sorry. go to the support page for your board and check the memory QVL compatibility list. edit: my buddy says he had them in the wrong slots. idk if this help. good luck
  8. a storefront is always good business. lets customers put there hands on stuff before buying. and you can showcase
  9. you cant custom build a laptop. truly. a desktop is soo much easier to work on repair wise. the components are under less thermal stress in a desktop. I have a dell g5 5587 with an i7-8750h cpu paired with a 1050 ti. that thing gets toasty before the GPU fan died when I replaced the thermal compound. I ordered a few replacement fans and the plug was never right. if I ever bought another laptop. it would be a POS that could browse the web.
  10. from what I deciphered from that. they are barely afloat. so they don't partner up. they more like sell parts of the company?
  11. the hardware market sucks outside of the US. from Canada to brazil. there getting screwed.
  12. when you buy any gpu. of course. cooler plays a part.
  13. no problem the 2060 runs cool so im sure the 1660 is just as good. just get the amped version. comes with a higher oc the ti though shows its potential when you OC it compared to the super.. Nvidia has really made a card for EVERY price point! lol
  14. I kow they cut corners when they can. storage. memory. GPU. I didn't realize that a parent company is prolly the reason. makes cents. so much overhead $$
