You will have access to most things until the end. There are a few side-quests that go away because of events in the main quest messing them up, but very few. There are guides that tell you which those are so you can make sure and do them. There's another thing, though. When I played it a few months ago, you didn't get XP for quests that were recommended for 4 levels or more below what you are. So that would be something to consider if you're going for an XP maximization run. There was talk that they might patch that out, but I'm not sure what happened. My next playthrough is still a few months away

Using smartwatch as a mic for phone calls
KingLich replied to KingLich's topic in Phones and Tablets
There's an idea Still, the whole point of this is that I want to keep using my earphones (or maybe other high end headphones that don't have a mic in the future). -
Fallout 4 in 2 weeks. Clearly. Also Legacy of the Void.

I'm looking to buy a smartwatch to go with my S6 edge, but I have a pretty apparently unusual thing I'd like it to do. I have a pair of Shure earphones which I really like and I listen to music on my phone a lot. However, my earphones (like a lot of other good ones) don't have a mic or inline controls. I'm wondering if I can use a smartwatch to answer phone calls and talk into it while hearing in my headphones. Basically have the watch as a mic and the phone as a speaker for phone calls. Is it at all possible? Are there any watches in particular that might be able to do that? The current contenders I'm considering are the Huawei Watch, Moto 360 2015 and Samsung Gear S2 (love that rotating bezel, but the OS is scary).

Thanks everyone for the opinions. I eventually went for 2 Gigabyte 970s. I just couldn't resist those scores. For now I'm very happy with how it's going. For example Crysis 3 gives me 66 FPS in the rain part at the beginning with everything on Very High and SMAA 2x. I had some trouble with the ROG Swift monitor, but that's a different topic.

I know this has been asked before (on various forums), but I'm about to pull the trigger and I'm still not sure what to go for in my particular situation. Here are the details: - 2 monitor setup (Asus ROG Swift coming soon + Dell 23" 1080 secondary); - Intel i7 4770; - Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 - Corsair RM750 I'm aware that 2x970 pretty much trashes a single 980 in most modern titles. The key words here are "most" and "modern". Will I have to jump through any hoops when running a game that does not support SLI (be it old or new and badly ported)? Given the abysmal track record of some game publishers regarding PC ports, should I expect future titles that can't properly handle SLI? Is the PSU enough for 2x970 OC? Finally, what would you go for? (Going the 980 path and adding a second 980 about a year from now is not out of the question, though I'm not sure there's a point for that in 1440p).

I personally think it's a shame to buy a 120/128 GB SSD at this point. 250/256 is reasonably cheap and you get much faster writes in most cases since the controller has trouble averaging out writes for longer life expectancy on small drives. For good price/performance*reliability I would recommend AData SP900 256GB or Samsung 840 Evo 250GB.

Fractal Design R4, and best mini-itx case?
KingLich replied to soaringchicken's topic in Power Supplies
I use a Define R4 for my main rig. It's a great case. Very quiet, very well built and very understated looks. I would heartily recommend it unless you plan on doing serious water cooling (more than a 2x120 rad). For mITX, it all depends on what you want to use it for. I use a Silverstone ML06 for my HTPC (running Ubuntu + XBMC and Steam In-Home streaming). It's a great little enclosure, but only if you don't need a graphics card (or can live with a low profile one). There are tons of other Silverstones to check out for other kinds of builds, but if you ultimately want a very powerful rig in a small-ish enclosure, the 250D or Fractal Node 304 are probably the way to go. -
My bad. Didn't see it.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-10-07-halo-2-anniversary-campaign-isnt-quite-1080p-microsoft-confirms And still they won't release it on PC... I really don't see how MS and Sony plan on keeping these consoles alive for 5+ years.
-
I've already said this once, but it seems debated. I'll reiterate. You need 2 x8 pci-e slots for SLI. There are no H boards that I know of which have that. They always go to x4 when you install a second pci-e extension. This is, however, enough for crossfire and there shouldn't be any bottleneck given the bandwidth available and the crossfire model. Hence, my original post...

Just crossfire x2. No SLI. That requires 2 x8 pci-e slots and H chipsets don't have the lanes.

G3258 with Z97 or 4440 with B85?
KingLich replied to pastafingers's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
You don't want to do that on a G-series. Get at least a reasonable i5 (4590?) and an H97 board (Z97 if you go for a K part or plan on future SLI). You have some intensive stuff to pull off, you're going to love the extra horsepower. -
For that price, I would definitely go with the Gigabyte Gaming 5. It's a very good line. The only Z97 mATX board that brings a tangible advantage that I can find is the Maximus VII Gene, which is quite a bit more expensive. If it were my money, I'd go for Gigabyte.

ASUS Z97-A vs MSI Z97-Gaming 5
KingLich replied to MeesterJackson's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
As everyone said, you'll have to choose by color scheme, mostly. Unless you want some very specific features. In that price range you can also get the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H, GA-Z97X-Gaming 5, or the G1.Sniper Z97 (better audio, but no SATA Express or M.2). There's also the ASUS Sabertooth mark 2. I'd take the Sniper for the audio, or if I were using an external DAC or a separate sound card, whichever has my preferred connectivity and color scheme.
