why should we care? because definitions mean something. you may not see a distinction between various forms of power but there are distinctions. the government can force a business to stop running for various reasons, but a business cannot force the government to stop running. These powers are at very different levels. You can argue both have the power to affect society, but one is still far stronger. Also being elected makes all the difference as we have chosen to give that power away. I have no choice to unelect Amazon from being a business. I didn't choose them, nor do i want them, but they still exist. And who leads them is a decision I have literally no part in. I can actually participate in deciding who runs my country, how money is handled at a local level, who represents me and my interests in the government, and so on. Power is not power. Power to reach up and flip on a lightswitch is not the same as the power to press the nuke button in the White House.
