  1. What do I need to change then? Sorry for it being German if you need the translation of something I am happy to help.
  2. Hello everyone, I have an issue with my Laptop. I am using Acer Swift 3 with a dual boot system with Windows and Linux Mint 21. I have a 2nd Display connected via an USB C (Thunderbolt 4) Hub. Between the Hub and the Monitor is a HDMI cable. Linux detects the second Display and I am able to move windows to it but the display stays black. (At least 95 times of 100 sometimes It magically works but I haven't figured out why...) In Windows however everything works perfectly fine. As far as I am aware I have the up to date drivers installed. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi everyone hopefully someone can help me. I have a HP convertible 14-ba101ng. This problem exists since almost a week. When I start it everything works just fine for one minute but then the laptop doesn't recognize the wifi card anymore. (It doesn't show up when I use ipconfig -all) And the taskmanger doesn't work anymore as well. Any suggestions to what could be the issue. Could the ssd be the issue? More information: Windows 11 used (Sorry for my English) Thanks for your help.
  4. I tried, but that doesn't work for me. Pyside is for the Qt bindings and if you dont have it it throws a exception which should get caught by pyqt... I think pyside is used for Python 2.7 - 3.3 and pyqt for later versions. Correct me if I am wrong... Do you have another idea?
  5. I am having a problem opening Spyder or Anaconda Navigator. Anaconda shell still works without a problem. I already tried: 1. reinstalling Spyder 2. reinstalling Anaconda 3. opening it from shell with the following result: (base) C:\Users\***>anaconda-navigator Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\***\anaconda3\lib\site-packages\qtpy\__init__.py", line 204, in <module> from PySide import __version__ as PYSIDE_VERSION # analysis:ignore ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'PySide' During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\***\anaconda3\Scripts\anaconda-navigator-script.py", line 6, in <module> from anaconda_navigator.app.main import main File "C:\Users\***\anaconda3\lib\site-packages\anaconda_navigator\app\main.py", line 22, in <module> from anaconda_navigator.utils.conda import is_conda_available File "C:\Users\***\anaconda3\lib\site-packages\anaconda_navigator\utils\__init__.py", line 15, in <module> from qtpy.QtGui import QIcon File "C:\Users\***\anaconda3\lib\site-packages\qtpy\__init__.py", line 210, in <module> raise PythonQtError('No Qt bindings could be found') qtpy.PythonQtError: No Qt bindings could be found PyQt5 should be installed (I tryed reinstalling and updating) I also tried to update conda anaconda and python. Do you have any suggestions? I already googled a lot, but wasn't able to find anything that works for me. Thanks in advance! UPDATE: Creating a new env with python 3.8.2 allows me to open spyder, but the window stays a white Window and does not respond any more. The following ERROR appears in the shell: (newEnv) C:\Users\***>spyder [2280:2332:0331/162242.873:ERROR:broker_win.cc(59)] Error reading broker pipe: Die Pipe wurde beendet. (0x6D) [4620:17776:0331/162242.873:ERROR:broker_win.cc(59)] Error reading broker pipe: Die Pipe wurde beendet. (0x6D) Translation: "Die Pipe wurde beendet." - "The pip was stoped." Downgrading Python to python 3.7.0 (The last version I know of that it worked) results in the same ERROR from the beginning.
  6. Hi guys, I have a problem with my Laptop. After a random time period I loose connection to the internet and the taskmanger freezes. I am still able to moove the mouse and the other programms still respond, but I can't really work like that. The laptop doesn't recover from that state. I also can't shut the computer down unless I use an emergency shut down. My laptop is over 2 years old which is why I have no warranty left. I already had the problem once before. Back then I tried a reinstall of Windows, but the reinstall ended up failing. I had no chance getting Windows back on the laptop. Linux worked perfectly fine on it, but I need programms which only run under Windows. Luckyly it still was within the warranty and the manufacture replaced my ssd and reinstalled Windows. After that it worked for around a year again. I can't acces my ssd since it is pretty hard to get to the hardware of my Laptop. I have a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-ba1xx. I would be very thankful for any ideas, I tried to look up the problem in the internet but I wasn't able to find anything. Thanks in advance and sry for my English (I am not a native speaker)
  7. Is it possible to use cheap LED stripes (by example from AliExpress) in your Computer, by connecting them to the motherboard? If so can you still control the lightning useing the software provided by the mothernoard manufacture? Does it matter wether it is a 3 or a 4 pin LED strip? If you use 3 Pins which LED controlers are you talking about? (WS2812B?) Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad English.
