  1. I can confirm that the monitor will run at 144hz on Nvidia Cards. I have a Gtx 980 ti G1 Gaming, and it Works flawlessly.
  2. I just bought the exact same monitor, even tho i'm having a Gtx 780. I had the same considerations in mind. But in the end i was clear that even tho i'm running a Gtx 780 and a BenQ Xl2420TE, the upgrade is still worth it
  3. Updating your bios should solve the problem.
  4. Thanks for the fast advice mate.. Do you know if the PCI-E Slots will bottleneck newer Cards? Since it only supports 2.0.. Right now i'm considering a Gtx 760 or Gtx 960 and a cheap 128 gb SSD.
  5. Do you think buying an aftermarket CPU Cooler is worth it? Like the EVO 212 and maybe get a pretty good OC on it, it might have a hardtime keeping up on newer applications.. What GPU should i get? Will i stumple on some heavy bottlenecks?
  6. Hello LTT forum! So recently i got this great deal for 30$ Board - Gigabyte GA-58x UD3R CPU - i7 950 3.1Ghz Bloomfield Socket 1366 with stock cooler and never OC'd RAM - 12Gb DDR3 1600 Kinston HyperX PSU - CP 750w (Low budget i guess) GPU - Nvidia Gtx 470 Reference HDD - 1 TB Sata 2 5200 Rpm Case HUGE *** OEM Case.. What should i do with this machine? I thought if i upgraded the GPU and maybe a 120gb SSD it would be a great LAN PC or something.. What kind of options do you Guys think i have? I don't want to spend more than 200$ on it.. Thanks in advance!
  7. According to tftcentral, the monitor will only support 75hz unfortunately.. There are no panels yet that supports that resolution with 144hz.. Here's my source:http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/news_archive/33.htm
  8. I think i forgot to mention, why i want to sell my pc.. i like to build pc's just in general, so basically selling my previous one and buy almost the same parts, beside case and fans and maybe some other parts (Maybe swap out the gtx 980 for Gtx 970 in SLI)..
  9. Hello Fellow techies, So i've always been having almost all my hardware for sale, just incase some people are willing to pay.. Anyways, lets get to the point. 10. The Pentium is indeed a solid CPU, but! When we move closer to games which uses more than 2 cores, Both the i5 and i7 blows it out of the Water. You're completely right, that the PER CORE performance is really equal, and when playing games that doesn't operate with more than 2 cores, you will most likely get the same result as with an i5 or i7 Now.. the Thing is, we're living in 2015 and almost ALL AAA games will use and operate with more than 2 cores, and by then your "beast gpu" will be bottlenecked.. This Means the i5 or i7 is more "future proof" than the Pentium. Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Denmark..
  11. Did you remember to install the SLI Bridge?
  12. I got myself a Gtx 980 from ASUS last week, i'm running with a BenQ XL2420TE 144hz, and my idle temps are between 30c and 35c.
