Plexit's Achievements

  1. Become familiar with Terminal commands, and install Gparted, its a free disk management software and you can also recover data from formatted hard drives.
  2. tbh if this actually ends up becoming an actual Linux OS... i'd install no doubt
  3. Might sound dumb saying this but how do you do that? EDIT: Found out how to on Google, probably should have looked there first...
  4. In the attached photo you can see that there are 2 unallocated partitions and they aren't joining together, also when i try to expand my main partition i can't for some reason. If anyone knows how to fix this please help
  5. When you do this the Linux Distribution will install a boot-loader called GRUB, in the installer you do need to specify that you want the boot-loader to be installed on the USB stick, and to answer how you would boot to different distributions, it will show that in GRUB when you boot
  6. I have used Ubuntu after switching from windows for about 3 months and i have grown bored of the regular gnome interface, i'm wanting a different change of pace for the desktop environment, I've tried KDE and other things such as the extension dash to dock but they haven't helped meet my expectations, what i am looking for is: A relatively fast environment that i can run many programs on at once with 4 GB ram and a dual core processor and it also needs to look nice visually
