I've been having problems when after restarting my pc, my wattman settings will revert to that one time I set the autoOC mode on, and itll try to get to 1491Mhz but it can't, so i have to manually load a profile with my memory, fan curve, and clock speed everytime. Anyone know how to set it this specific profile to default? I'm running an RX 580 and said drivers are up to date. thanks

Help, I'm making my first build
AeroMagnus replied to ImmortalFlame's topic in New Builds and Planning
doubt it'll NEED them, but they could be a nice adition later down the line -
It's not deadly but seems high, maybe because the air is already hot when it comes in? Are all the fans working?

GIGABYTE B450M DS3H AM4 Ryzen 3 3rd gen Not posting

It shouldn't need a bios update, try clearing the CMOS maybe? It could also be your ram, try one stick on each slot Also if you don't mind me asking, why such a budget system overall but 32gb of ram? -
Also, does your PSU have proper Pcie connectors?
-
If you can, get the 1080. The biggest bottleneck is your GPU if your processor is anything more than a single core, and it'll be easier to sell when you want to upgrade than if you were to buy a card that's already old or low performing. So get the best you can.

Most likely, try reinstalling it or at least tightening the screws?- 11 replies

My PSU shocks me and probably started a fire

other electronics arent as sensible and/or don't require that much power -
I bought the Corsair Vengeance 750M 80+ silver at canada computers at around 90CAD, its tier A rated op @W0vo I'd say at least wait for nvidia 3000, as it will probably lower the prices of everything else and its just around the corner

Wireless network card not working in new PC build
AeroMagnus replied to Pixelest's topic in Troubleshooting
Have you downloaded drivers for it? -
please don't. bottleneck isnt that bad of an issue, you can always upgrade later but buying a 750ti is a waste of money since youre gonna have to replace it when you upgrade everything else. Just buy literally the best one you can @DylanMased

IMO GPU is the way to go since you can carry it over a new system. maybe find another cheap 8gb stick of ddr3?
-
That was on amazon but RAM prices are volatile as black powder here. Although that price includes VATs, it's still bad, but surprisingly a 5700xt is 480 or so
-
mexico lolz the north, if that matters
-
nvm that lol, now its $87 for a 2x8 3000mhz corsair kit. It was just out of stock lol, but yeah , generally prices here are high because theres no demand for "high" end parts. most of the things on my facebook marketplace are DDR3 or i5s second to fourth gen
-
2600, these are g.skill kits, but one kit doesnt even have a heatsink (4x4GB) and they're not even RGB so I was impressed with that overclock tbh lol. Ideally I want 3200MHz, even if I end up with loose timings like cl19, but would prefer to not mess with voltage as I'm using my computer to work and well, prices here are like 130 usd for a corsair ballistix 2x8 3000mhz kit lol also I think I read that they're hynix chiplets in the bios but not sure
-
so i just took my 2400mhz cl15 ram and got it to 2666 cl16 same voltage. Seems stable while gaming, Can i push for 3000mhz?

Yesterday or so I put a "new" HDD into my pc and started having problems waking it up sometimes, just sometimes. A reset will do but its annoying and wasn't happening before. Think is a display problem because I can't get into bios or anything
-
Thanks, I checked my the voltage with my multimeter and it is using the 5v, also the specs in my PSU say it only delivers 3A, so not that much, I'll just use some 330 ohm resistors between each LED I'm using molex because I think it's easiert to work with than SATA
-
-
So long story short, my case has one LED that uses the 5v out of a molex connector and I think its just... directly connected lol. So I had this idea of making my own RGB strip for my case (which would only be R because thats the theme and basically i thought aboout putting standart, store bought LEDs Just so they give more light to my fans and case, will I kill my psu? should I do it in series or in parallel?

Alright, thank you I will get the 212 then, the video I watched compares the dark rock, but yeah the pure rock has one less heatpipe. Thank you very much
