  1. It was a mistake. It was Gold in Tier B, then it was moved to Tier A but they forgot to remove the Gold color when they moved it.
  2. I mean, there might be an increase in PSU prices here soon thanks to 80 Plus raising their fees for testing and certification, so it's not a bad idea to buy a new one now anyway.
  3. Maybe since it's an old PSU that was mediocre quality even on release. Besides, if they are going to upgrade the rest of the system later, the new PSu can be used again.
  4. Since no one else answered this, the BitFenix Whisper 850 is perfect for the price. The RM750 technically can get the job done, but 850w makes sure you have enough headroom even if you overclock everything. If the Revolution DF is also 850w for 120, that would be my second choice if the Bitfenix Whisper isn't in stock. Side note: I like the change to have gray for older/EoL PSU models.
  5. Still no public reviews on it. If you are a Patreon Gold member for TechPowerUp, you can go here and see it but until then, theres really nothing on it. Only thing that I know is the main FETs didn't survive the testing that Aris put it through, so it would be better to find a different PSU
  6. No reviews are out yet if you are talking about the P-GM that just released. If you are talking about the Aorus, it's decent.
  7. Try playing on King of the Hill servers. Usually full, pure PVP, no real need for a mic. Arma 3 itself is very diversive in game modes, from survival mods, to Altis Life RPG, to servers that require mics and placing you in squads.
  8. It's a third-party seller, and most of the price you aren't seeing is in shipping. It's $24.29 +$37.39 shipping fee. In other words, PCPP sucks for Amazon since it doesn't show shipping fees
  9. CS-m is different from the CXM, the CS-m is Tier B next to the CX Gray. I would get the CX or CS-m, which ever is cheaper for you.
  10. There's actually a spreadsheet (linked at the top of the post but I'll link it here) that shows why the PSUs are in low priority (right now, mostly Tier A PSUs and not many tier C are listed). It could be due to tripping with certain PSUs, low/no info or reviews, or noise problems. Your PSU in particular trips with AMD Vega cards. It's fine for a 1060.
  11. Depends. Going for a silent build? Pure Power 11. If they are the same price, I would get the Earthwatts Pro Gold. If the Pure Power 11 is cheaper, get that. It also depends where you are buying it from. If you are from the US, I would go with the 750w Earthwatts Gold Pro since it's the same price as the Pure Power 11 700w, and only $5 more than the 650w. Then again, you have to wait until the 22nd to get it from Amazon, but it's up to you.
  12. Build quality, the Earthwatts Gold Pro is better. Noise-wise, the Pure Power 11 is quieter, but in either case, you would hear the GPU fans first when under load before you hear the PSU fan.
  13. Tier B, under Cooler Master MWE Gold, though not the MWE Gold V2 (Tier B low priority due to lack of info as it's new) Side note: I like how in the spreadsheet you guys added the NZXT HALE82/HALE90/HALE82 v2. Not sure if it's because of that one thread about the guy trying to run a 3070 with it, or you were already planning on adding it. Either way, it's good to see more PSUs added to the list, no matter how old they are.
  14. Pretty sure the Hale82 was released in 2012. Sure, you might've bought it in 2016, but it's a very old PSU model. Pretty sure it's similar to the Seasonic M12II, which is a double forward and DC-DC PSU, with Passive Rectification on the 12V rail. It's not a bad PSU for it's time, but I wouldn't use it with a 3070. Now whether it's safe or not, I don't know, but I wouldn't risk it and would change your PSU. At least Tier B or higher on the list.
  15. Corsair RM 850w is £108 if you can find it in stock for that. Other than that, it seems the Whisper M and the Revolution D.F. are the cheapest you can probably find in the UK. Then theres the Revolt Pro and Corsair RMx 850w, but again, good luck finding these in stock.
  16. You're really limiting your PSU options. There are a lot more options other than the ones you listed. On Amazon, there's the 750w Phanteks AMP (Tier A, rebranded Focus GX basically) and Thermaltake GF1 (Tier A) for $110, and the 750w Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro (Tier A, based on/rebranded Focus GM) for $100. These would be better in terms of pricing to quality. Also, you can get the NZXT C750 (rebranded Focus GX) from NZXT's own website for $120, or the C850 for $130, rather than paying extra at Microcenter,
  17. You know it's a lower quality PSU when they don't even list the protections. I can't even find any additional info on this PSU other than whats on the store page. I'd avoid it and find something that at least has reviews if you need a PSU.
  18. Well, I know you are asking about your PSU, but I see a couple more problems personally. I'm just going to start with the PSU and you can feel free to ignore the rest. The Phanteks AMP 650w is the same price and is better overall. IGNORE THIS IF YOU BOUGHT THE PARTS ALREADY: Onto my suggestions for the overall build: Why are you spending $40 more for the 3600x when you can get the 3600 for $200. You could spend the extra $40 on a better cooler, like the Fuma 2, or the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo. You are over-spending on that SSD when you can get a better NVMe for the same price. This one is more of a personal gripe. Why are you paying for a Win10 key when you can either download it from Microsoft for free, just unactivated, or buy a cheap key off of Ebay. I'd personally would spend less on the motherboard, especially with only using a 3600. Even then, there are better choices, though looking at your build, you probably want the RGB. Here is the fixed list, though you can ignore the motherboard suggestion if you want the RGB: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $199.99 @ Newegg CPU Cooler ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO CPU Cooler $49.99 @ Amazon Motherboard Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC ATX AM4 Motherboard $174.99 @ Amazon Memory Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $85.99 @ Best Buy Storage Corsair MP400 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $119.99 @ Newegg Video Card Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card Case Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case $79.98 @ Amazon Power Supply Phanteks AMP 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $99.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $810.92 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-11-02 21:44 EST-0500 And here is the list with the Windows Key and motherboard intact (with another CPU cooler suggestion): PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $199.99 @ Newegg CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition 57.3 CFM CPU Cooler $44.00 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard $208.69 @ Amazon Memory Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $85.99 @ Best Buy Storage Corsair MP400 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $119.99 @ Newegg Video Card Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card Case Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case $79.98 @ Amazon Power Supply Phanteks AMP 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $99.99 @ Amazon Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit $108.78 @ Other World Computing Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $947.41 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-11-02 21:46 EST-0500
  19. 750w ADATA Core Reactor for 115 Euro would be my budget pick. 850w Thermaltake GF1 for 140 Euro would be the best 850w pick and possible best overall pick taking price into account if we removed the 750w PSUs. 1000w and 1200w are overkill in my opinion, but if I had to choose any, it would be either the Revolt X, or the LC Power.
  20. It's not a good power supply by any means, but it's enough for a budget office PC. So really, it depends what hardware you are using. I would definitely get a better PSU if you have anything worth much or are gaming with any sort of discrete GPU that requires additional power connecters.
  21. they are the same thing, just one has an RGB fan instead, which is why the RGB is in parentheses. It's the same thing with the Toughpower GF1, with two editions. One with a normal fan and the other ARGB, but internals are exactly the same. And if it wasn't the same internally, there would've been something to separate the versions on the list.
  22. If you'd Ctrl+F GX1, you would see it's in Tier C
  23. Everything from Tier B and up should have OTP as it's a part of the requirements for those tiers (Side note: list hasn't updated but the spreadsheet moved the Gigabyte G750H to Tier C since jonnyGuru got confirmation from CWT that the GH doesn't have OTP) You can see the methodology here
