  • Biography
Growing up my father had a few of his own start up tech businesses and an ISP, I always tinkered with whatever I could find that he didn't need whether it be networking equipment or computer parts. Eventually I built my first system when I was 9, after that I just stuck to it. Since graduating High school a couple years ago I have since worked in Computer repair and in a couple IT departments for a few companies.

  1. I work in the IT department of a greenhouse, and for the last week or two we've been having issues with TLS 1.1 and 1.2, they're disabling themselves across machines randomly throughout our network about every hour or so. We've attempted remedying the issue via Group Policy, regedit, but it persists. I was wondering if anyone else had any insight as to any possible solutions to prevent this.
  2. The AIO you ordered should give you some noticeable improvement, but it would be helpful to know what you're using currently
  3. Pocket City is one I've been playing on the toilet lately, it's essentially just a really dumbed down Sim City for your phone. No Ads, no in app purchases etc.
  4. Are you sure it's a Windows issue? I would update all of your drivers, make sure your OS is fully up to date, and then run an install repair on your League client using Riots repair tool. The League client is known for crashing due to driver compatibility issues
  5. It is normal for a VPN connection to be slower than a connection without the VPN, as the VPN is adding in extra steps between your computer and your internet connection, so you will see some drops in speeds due to this, but it should only be about 10-20% on average if I remember correctly
  6. This isn't really just limited to navigating file explorer either, I'm noticing a lot of younger people I interact with (even those closer to my own age in college) struggle with navigating websites to find download links etc
  7. I thought it was rather low as well, considering the potential value of the alleged data contained.
  8. Completely forgot this was a thing
  9. If you're really worried about it (as MSI said, temps should be fine especially if under warranty), you could try a water cooled alternative if you think you're capable of installing it, or if you know anyone that would be able to install it. Otherwise if you already haven't, see if your GPU fan speeds can be increased at all.
  10. Try undoing your cable management and start from scratch, make sure everything works. If you get it working again, redo your cable management and make sure the cables aren't pulled too tight or anything like that.
  11. "My grandson used my credit card in a manner of which I did not authorize" seems pretty reasonable to me. Edit: As well, it would be safe to assume she wouldn't have any similar charges on her credit card statement to this, maybe a few small amounts here or there, but nothing of this magnitude.
  12. Kid's 13 years old, idk about others but at 13 I had a comprehension of how online purchases worked, could read everything. I don't doubt the kid just took advantage of the grandmother not understanding the platform. Not anyone's fault in particular really, I do think Sony should allow a refund as technically it was an unauthorized purchase on her card. If not, charge back on the card, if sony blacklists it then it prevents this issue for her later on
  13. Yeah it's a pretty big grey area, I do feel bad for the Grandmother, Sony should allow her to refund the charges as they were technically not authorized by the card holder. But it is kind of on the kid for taking advantage of the situation, and a lack of controls in place by default (Unsure if it prompts users when setting up their console on PS4 but I remember my xBox prompted me the first time I entered the store to enter in a pin number)
