Might be putting together a new personal rig soon so I have been planning it out.
Budget really isn't too much of an issue this time around and I live in the US.
I plan on using the rig for lots of gaming and light streaming and video editing
I hope to upgrade to a 4k monitor or do nvidia surround.
I have built many entry level gaming rigs before for my brother, a few friends, and myself, but on this machine I would really like to go a more enthusiast route.
I plan on getting this list of parts
Processor -Intel Core i7-4770k
Motherboard -Asus Maximus VI Formula
Memory -Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (4x4GB) 1866
Video Card -(2x) EVGA Geforce GTX 780 ti 3GB 384bit
SSD - Intel 530 240GB
Hard drive -Western Digital Red 3TB 64MB Cache SATA 6GB/s
Power Supply - Corsair HX Series HX1050 1050W
Case - Corsair Obsidian 750D
All of that would be relatively simple to put together and manage inside the case, but I really would like to run a custom water cooling loop.
This will be be first time working with water cooling that isn't something like a H100 (because those are hardly any work at all even to install),
So I have been looking around for a few days reading and watching videos.
I have gotten around to picking out some parts and would like to hear what people think before I put anymore time into planning it.
So what I have picked out so far
Pump/Res - Swiftech MCP655 using FrozenQ modded mounting bracket for the FrozenQ Liquid Fusion Dual Bay Reservoir - Blood Red Helix.
Blocks - Koolance CPU - 380i
(2x) Koolance VID-NXTTN2 using the Koolance VGA block connecting set
Rads - Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 (or xt45) Full Copper Dual 140mm Rad
Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper Triple 120mm Rad
Out of what I have I tried to make a sort of diagram of how I want to set it up in
Post any thoughts or comments and any advice would be great.
