  1. I've heard 1.4v is risky, you sure it's okay?
  2. Well, I'm running on AMD system so DOCP is basically AMD's equivalent of XMP so I don't know how I'd go about changing that lol. The RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro. Also, I don't think I'd need to have premium cooling for this to work, no? I just want the RAM to run at its advertised speed.
  3. I just put together my first "real" system that I build everything myself. Ryzen 5 2600X ASUS Prime X470-Pro 16gb 3000mhz corsair vengence RAM I tried to get the RAM to run at their full speed by turning on D.O.C.P because I've heard that's how you're supposed to do it, but it won't boot to Windows. I also tried turning off D.O.C.P and changing the RAM speed and voltage myself to 3000Mhz, 1.35 but that also doesn't work. The only way I can boot to Windows is to use the default settings. I also made sure that I have the latest BIOS. I have no experience doing this kind of thing at all so I don't want to mess with anything. Any help would be much appreciated.

  5. okay, thank you. After some adjustment, I have a bit more cash to spend on RAM so I'll probably go with 16GB of DDR4 3000mhz.
  6. Say, I'll probably use Ryzen 5 2600X, so higher RAM speed will probably benefit me a lot more that the "standard" 2400mhz, right?
  7. RAM prices in my country is through the roof right now and I'd like to save any buck I can when choosing things for my new college PC. My question is, do RAM Bus speed make any big difference in games, say 2400mhz vs 3000mhz vs 3200mhz. Higher is better, that much I know, but how much better is what I wanna know, and whether or not it'd be worth the cash.
  8. Would you guys recommend COOLERMASTER MasterWatt 650? Or CORSAIR TX 650M?
  9. Well, I could actually buy from a different variety of local retailers but the main ones that also have online stores are these https://www.jib.co.th/web/ https://online.advice.co.th/ As you can probably tell, they don't have nearly as good of stuff as you guys have in the US and EU but this is almost as good as the market can get in Thailand. I could buy from Newegg and Amazon, of course. But the import tax and shipping fees are too high to make that worth it. Such is life for a PC gamer in South East Asia.
  10. The only stuff I've already got that are usable is my case, hdd, and my 970. The rest are more than 5 years old pieces of crap. (DDR3 RAM OMFG) RAM prices in my country is through the roof rn so I can't really afford 16GB of 3000mhz-3200mhz RAM at all. What are really the difference between X370 and X470 btw? From my research, it's not a lot and I'd prefer to save a few buck if I can. But the prices different isn't that big so idk tbh. I'll probably watch the GPU market for a while and see what future gen holds. I still can't afford 1440p monitor anyway and 1080p gaming is not that big of a deal. And Seasonic Focus Gold is literally not available in any retailer in my country, at all. Seems like our PSU market here is slower than NA and EU by a few years...
  11. I'm upgrading my PC with - Ryzen 5 2600X - ASUS X370-Pro - Sandisk 500GB SSD - 16GB of Kingston Hyper-X 2400hz RAM - Will be using my old GTX970 for a while then upgrade maybe to 1070ti or 1080 the end of the year I'm currently looking at Corsair VS650 but that doesn't look very good and it's not modular. Is there any recommendation? I don't really wanna spend more than $100 on PSU but I wouldn't want to risk cheaper alternatives if they're not good.
  12. I have absolutely no knowledge about motherboard so please help me here. I5-6600K 16GB RAM GTX970 (owned) 1TB HDD (owned) 700 Watts PSU (owned) DVD Drive (owned) Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ASUS Z170-A or ASUS Z170-K? Or something else? Preferably ASUS. Also, I'm planning on Overclocking.
  13. Well then, I guess I need to suffer with this machine that won't even run BF1 at 60fps on low for a bit longer.
