  1. Won't cause damage just instability.
  2. 11.2 is quite low even under load and indicates a poor quality PSU. As power draw increases, voltage will drop. 11.6 is kinda really low but not too bad if under full load.
  3. The problem is that most manufacturers haven't made it easy to figure out how things work. Corsair seems most receptive to the Linux community. MSI, Asus, and GB all appear to be in la la land though.
  4. Type of fan doesn't matter. PWM is a standard so all fans will run the same. If both sets of fans have the same rpm range then they'll run around the same point.
  5. On a PWM fan the first two pins are power. The third is rpm sensor and the forth is the control. While you can have multiple rpm sensors, it'll only result in odd rpm reads.
  6. Pretty much. I haven't seen one in many many years.
  7. Simple, Schiit has gained plenty of good will over the years.
  8. Is it persistent through multiple reboots?
  9. As Shrimp has said, Intel is more forgiving compared to AMD. Should work just fine. Will always recommend getting a single kit of amount needed but that's not always possible.
  10. There generally aren't any major or even appreciable differences between various revisions. It'd only be worth the trouble of RMA if there was a thing you needed a specific revision for.
  11. Apart from the AMD specific concerns. Generally if the kits are brought together it's extremely likely they are apart of, or close to the same batch. Thus highly compatible.
  12. Gonna need a bit more info. What OS are you using? What program are you using to write the image?
  13. Do you mean you have multiple partitions and it wont let you make another one?
  14. Theoretically they should work. Can't say if it'd actually work on the 7200u, Ryzen, or 8600k. The Ryzen is the least likely to work.
  15. Which side are you talking about? If it mains side, I'd get some thicker wire like 12/13. 18awg is a few hundred watts at 110v. If it's inside the computer then 18awg is fine.
  16. You just put in that command, without the quotes into the terminal. Type in the admin pw, hit enter. Assumingit detects windows. You should be greeted with the grub menu during boot. If not press escape immediately after the bios splash screen. If windows isn't in that list, you've got a problem.
  17. I recommend checking out Alternativeto. https://alternativeto.net/platform/linux/ Valve is making plenty of progress with their Proton translation layer. 1. Yes. NVidia has gotten a lot better with Linux support in recent years. A good deal of games have performance parity with Windows. Some even have better performance. HiDPI can be a slight issue at times, though all the major shells have some sort of scaler. 2. As far as I'm aware most Ubuntu/Debian distro have built-in support for it. I don't use the extra buttons for any OS level actions, so I'm unsure. Games should be able to bind extra mouse buttons just like any other key. 3. I know Linux can RDP to a windows machine. Not sure about the other way. 7. Notepadqq and Kate are what I use. 8. Flameshot I believe is the closest alternative. Haven't used either though.
  18. I'd go with a 860 Pro over a EVO/QVO if possible.
  19. IPS. Traditionally IPS has had better colour accuracy but with slower response times. TN has traditionally had better response times but less accurate colour. The gap this narrowed quite a bit over the last few years. These days we are where for the vast majority of people, an IPS panel is fast enough.

    Ssd

Yes. The type of SSD does not matter.
  21. You'll need to provide power to the pins responsible for power. Here's the pinout for PCIe.
