  1. Thanks for this suggestion ! Do you by any chance know if theyre bluetoothn + USBC passthrough ? This is quite vital for me. I am going to look into this in the morning but its 5.02 AM here and im about to go to bed haha. Also you can only change the RGB coloring through key shortcuts ? Are you able to adjust all of the key backlighting individually or just it come with presets? And theres no software for the keyboard is that right ? (tbh i dont mind software for adjusting the keyboard keycolor and updates and macros etc)
  2. Heya!, Im currently looking for new keyboard, but im not too sure what to get at this stage and when looking at keyboards i feel im gettin very "tunel visioned" over the options that are available to me so i figured maybe i should make a post to see if i could get some suggestions that might help "broaden the horizon" a bit. I'll Try to keep this post short, thanks for all suggestion in advance ! Requirements: Price: N/A Size: 100% (must have a numpad) Switches: Must be swappable. Connection: Bluetooth + USBC passthrough (my gaming station is also my work station, and i use usbc on my gaming machine and BT on my work machine, making it easy to swap without having to move cables (i game only wired) Layout: UK - qwerty - ISO. (need a proper layout for arrowkeys, ins, home, del, end, prtsxc, scrollk, pause, pgup, pgdown etc - none of those "squished together layouts" since i will be using this for work too. ) Preference: (not mandatory) a few macro keys. NOT BLUE SWITCHES ! xD Current keyboard: ROG claymore 2. I really loved this keyboard, but turns out it has a quite severe issue that seems to happen to most users after using the keyboard for a while. Which is one of the reasons i wanna go for a keyboard that has hotswap keys. What i am currently considering: ASUS ROG Strix Flare II ASUS ROG Strix Scope II - was considering untill i saw the "squished" layout" razer black widow v4 pro (dont think its hotswap tho) Note: I am not interested in wooting keyboards.
  3. just a little FYI> If you run warframe through steam. Go to your warframe steam folder. copy all its contents. Then navigate to epic games, select a new install location, install the game. then click abort. Navigate to epic games warframe folder, inside that folder it should be a folder named "downloaded" paste all your warframe steam files there. Then launch through epic games launcher, it works and it attaches it to your original warframe account, no need to make new or anything or re download. However i do have a question though, it worked fine for me, however in regards to what mods is included in the package it doesnt say /./ and im not noticing that i received any new mods, anyone got any idea if there is any specific crit chance mods or if its just random crit chance mod?
  4. Oh btw guys can you do me a favour, if you have an Amazon account please report this item (I am doing so too) just to get a few reports in so it's taken down to spare the unfortunate soul who might buy this ? This topic may now be locked thanks again guys
  5. Oooooo nice cheers mate! (Only done a little light reading so far but I will definitely dive into this)
  6. Yeah... The advertisement is garbage.... It says class 10 but clearly is u1 on the pic and higher up in the details too much conflicting information. I'll stay clear and buy myself a sandisc one
  7. Thanks guys! Yeah I suspected it to be a scam and yeah the price really is too good to be true. (Btw nice observation regarding the reviews-didnt catch that one myself ) I'll go with sandisk then Much love!
  8. To put it very simple. If you believe it's overrated and if you do not see the difference or benefit from it. Then you do not need it. Then I would just continue using a HDD. However ssd is definitely not overrated for its use case. It's quite the opposite really my pc would be super slow with a HDD so I prefere going with my ssds
  9. I am looking for a microSD card and found this SD card with 512 GB class 10, but I noticed it's price is so much lower than any equivalent in brands such as sandisc or Samsung Here is the listing https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08GR36K87/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_czAHFbSP0P69T When checking prices to similar microSD cards, this card is way cheaper. I tried to Google the brand but did not get much useful information. I checked with Amazon and they say their products are authorised and it all seems good. It's reviews are good but again, there is no guarantee that this is not a scam. So I wonder. Has anyone here heard about this brand or maybe even tested this microSD card? What is your advice should I buy this or avoid it? I would prefere to avoid a return due to inconvenience with working hours Vs post office opening hours. Cheers.
  10. Whether or not you should depends on a few things. 1: why do you think of building it rather than buying? 2: do you have the money / dont care about price? 3: what kind of keyboard do you in the end want to end up with? The thing is, unless you do everything yourself such as etching the PCB, cutting or buying the keycaps, assembling switches and downloading programming software, by material it will regardless be quite expencive. If you want to build it as a hobby and have a keyboard that you can be proud of and say you actually made. Then ill say go for it! There are ofcourse the kits you can buy with all you need and just assemble it, but those can be quite pricy. If you just want a good gaming keyboard without ruining your wallet you might just want to buy one really. But this really depends on what and why you were thinking of building the keyboard. This is atleast how i see it
  11. For silent keyboard i can recommend any decent keyboard containing "cherry mx silent" They feature a small glass plate at the bottom of the switch that dampens the sound drasticly. Here are two that i personally enjoyed: 1: LOGITECH G512 Special Edition Mechanical Gaming Keyboard 2: CORSAIR K70 RGB MK.2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Silent Switches
  12. I landed on audio technica ATH-G1WL and im quite happy saved some bucks even! thanks for suggesting audio technica @Veganjoy
  13. Monitor is feedback into the mic yes, I do have a lot of street noise around where i live so therefore i wouldn't like to have open backs, its not like i can switch in off and on like i can with the monitor (feedback) haha :P. Do you happen to have any recommendation for any particular device from audio technica or akg? Really want to try to go as high end as i can go with 400 GBP for a new headset and DAC that does support what i am looking for in regards to adjustments (eq) and a adjustable "monitor" function, still doing a lot of research but really do not find that much interesting things. However also been considering the logitech G pro or G533 , but i am a bit sceptical to their comfort as previous ones really haven't been the greatest So far you have been a great help as i can try to do more research on akg and audio technica, do have some experience with akg but not audio technica so thats definitly something i am going to check out. Thanks
  14. Thank you a lot for your response. One of the reasons i am tilting towards finding a new solution is due to the gsx 1200s' monitor sound is very low and on higher volumes, it is easily overpowered in games so i cant hear myself. I hear that the gsx 1200 and 1000 are identical except for having an additional feature "chatlink", so i do not really expect any different results using a sennheiser game one, how do you find the monitor sound's volume? I think i might want to try to seek out another DAC that allows for more customisation and adjustments in general due to the GSX's limitations. I really feel it is too expensive for what it is and does and how it sounds. But that might just be me? idk. Personally i am not really a fan of open back because i prefer to close out all external sounds, and switch on a monitor mic if i need to hear anything externally, (for immersion and personal preference) suppose you cant switch off the open backs I might consider going back to game zero but i dont know yet to be honest.
  15. Hello guys, Turns out this was quite a bit to read and i apologise for that, however if you read the full thing i would like to thank you for taking the time to help me out even though it may be a tedious read haha. Also apologise for my english, it is not my main language Recently bought a Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro and a sennheiser GSP 600. Unfortunately at the price point of the equipment i found this very disappointing. The headset itself looks stunning and truly has remarkable comfort, but the mic in the headset is terrible and sounds like a robot really (it is not a production error, i compared with sound clips from other testing it) The sound profile of the headset feels really odd, and its like sitting in a big room even though its reverb isn't that big. My main problem with this headset is that in gaming sense, i feel that there is no umph at all, sounds are either very dull or low tones are too overpowering. As an example in a FPS shooter the guns sounds so flat and powerless (cod MW). Or with a different setting, it completely overpowers footsteps and mid tones are all over the place. In racing, the cars simply sounds powerless and dull, do not really get any "feel" when driving a powerful car. The headset works great for watching movies, but is terrible when enjoying music. I tried various configurations with the DAC and the headsets for many hours, even with and without the DAC but it was not satisfactory. When it comes to the DAC itself it has a neat feature of 7.1 Dolby surround but for gaming this is not a great option as the sound is all over the place so i prefered to play around with 2.0 HD. As mentioned this also works well for movies, but when used with music, the music gets quite fatiguing with the surround and dull with the 2.0. I also had high hopes for the mic monitoring on this device, but it was poorly executed (personal opinion), i do have a monitoring system built in to my pc, but the audio is already quite weak and the DAC's are even weaker. So my question is: Is there anyone that could recommend me a good headset with mic and also another DAC or mixer that allows for a good control over the monitoring sound and is great both for gaming (footsteps) but also great for movies (capable of providing the umpf) The headset i had before this setup was the ASUS deltacore and to be honest, its sounds a lot better than the GSP600. It has a good powerful sound without deafening everything else. My budget is around 400 GBP but i can be flexible. Would prefer to not go over that, but if i have to i will. Specs im looking for: Headset: Must be closed back cups, must have a good bass and good clarity and be comfortable to wear 12 hours in one go and good sound isolation. It must also have a decent mic and be wired. I would want to avoid wireless to minimize any delay for gaming and retain as much quality as possible while listening to music. If you believe i am making a big mistake going wired, you may try to change my mind haha but so far it is not very attractive to me. For DAC / Mixer, i really do not know much about these types of equipment yet, but i need something that can monitor the headset mic and that is adjustable. Would also be good to be able to do a little EQ there but it is not required if you know about something that is really good and works well. Currently what i have been considering is hyperx alpha S, or steelseries arctis 7, but im not sure yet. I once owned a sennheiser game zero and i was amazed with that headset, absolutely loved it but sadly it broke but lasted for a long while and i have been considering to go back to it. But i would like to try something new and hopefully better. Previous owned headsets: Arctis 3 - loved the headset but the headband stretched out after a while and headset began to sit loose. Its sound isolation isn't that great but it was an over all great headset. Sennheiser game zero - One of the best headsets i've ever owned, but it is a while ago and my memory might not serve me as well as i may think on this one. But i remember it was very comfortable and had a great sound. I too remember that its sound level was quite limited (volume) Asus deltacore - It has served me well, great mic, great sound, it cups are somewhat oddly shaped but not too uncomfortable. Sennheiser GSP 600 - did not like this headset one bit sadly, weak "roomy" sound and bad mic. Great clarity though and level of detail but its bass is low to non existent. and some other stuff not really worth mentioning (cheapest earbuds i could find and so on) Thank you so much for your help in advance.
