  1. Trying to achieve 120 fps stable on my rig: Ryzen 9 3900x, GTX 1080ti Strix, 16 3200Mhz RAM, but some parts of the warzone map (I mainly play plunder) still dropping to 85-95 fps. Playing at 1080p on a 60 Hz monitor but i can clearly feel the input diference from 60 and 120 fps, feels so nice when is stable CPU Usage is 23-35% 4.3-4.2 Ghz 1.275v CCX Overclock with Ryzen Master GPU Usage is nowhere near 100% usage even with unlimited fps, most of the time 65-75 % Usage Game is using 14 gb RAM Config.ini file correclty setup (0.55 memory scale and 12 as the numers of cores im using) Tried overclocking on every profile of Ryzen Master Ive tried Ryzen Balanced, High Performance, 1Usmus and Ultimate Performence power plans (which improve latency and the way the game and mouse feels but not a fps increase at all) Ive heard and read one can be clock-bottle necked, meaning 4.3 6 cores 4.2 6 cores is not enough CPU for Warzone 1080ti is a beast of GPU and i tried rolling back from lastest Nvidia Driver to 457.30 Driver (October 2020) GPU is connected with just 1x 8-pin power supply cable which is divided, im aware the best thign to do is using 2 sepparate cables for power. GPU performs very nicely with a light overclock, but no frames are being added. Nvidia Control panel correclty set up, Prefer Maximum Performance and Open GL GPU correclty designated Windows GPU Scheduler set to on with Warzone app on high perfomance mode under windows settings Watched a video from Artis on Youtube, guy is getting 144+ Frames Per Second, 100% gpu usage Ultra Settings (which im not, im playing on medium-low for competitive matters) but thats a video from Season 6, im writing as Season Two (Cold War) Season is taking place: This guy here says 457.30 is nice driver for 1% lows on Warzone or at least performs somehow better then last version: Jesus Freaking Christ guys ive tried it all and im disapointed, supossedly 1080ti should be a nice card, i shouldnt be getting as low as 90 fps on low settings and my processor ismore than enough, is the game so poorly optimized? i just want to have 120 fps stable as i cannot stand The Feeling of the 60fps latency on Warzone, i swear Cold War at 60 fps feels as responsive as Warzone 120fps u.u
  2. Nothing yet, the only thing that seems to work is when you login to the game dont open any weapon or settings menu, stay on the loby screen for as long as your game starts, once you deploy and start playing, youre not getting issues during that session, i really hope this helps
  3. So im using some sharpenn and color filters on warzone to enhance the way i see enemies and shadows, every now and then i get this color flickers that make the game unplayable and stressing to see and i have to restart pc after that, fps count, input latency and everything is fine. glitch only happens when filter on Warzone is on ryzen 9 3900x, GTX 1080ti 461.40 Driver
  4. Much appreciated, im taking a look at that post, thanks again!
  5. So i spend my shekels recently on a cheap monitor for doing some web photo editing, my budget is not big at all for this investment, and i ended up buying a 21.5 Janus LED Monitor with weird color display, poor saturation, magenta and contrast. Vendor said it is IPS but it is not specified anywhere in the box or the internet, it just says "LED", im thinking about selling it and buy a better IPS panel at almost the same budget, aiming for the LG 22MN430H-B, which is the only one available in my country with those nice specs (75hz, freesync, IPS, 5ms, cheap) or the Samsung S22F350FHL (but some sites say its Tn instead of IPS... and im not interested in any TN panel at all) Anyone can tell me what the difference is between my current weird looking LED "Janus" monitor and the LG or Samsung im interested in? or if i will see any advantages switching my monitors given the low budget? Im not looking for a perfect professional monitor on my photo work, just something with decent colors and contrast on it. Thanks
  6. Your advice solved all listed problems, all check! back to stock, even better tempertures with new BIOS, bought my 3900x too early, i think thats the problem with new stuff Specially Ryzen. Thank you so much
  7. Gonna check all of them. Changing the Loadline Calibration of CPU to default (Auto) helped, ill be watching for further test with different programs, what bothers me now is the sleep/wakeup function crashing and freezing computer to the point of starting at windows recovery blue screen for no reason. Ill be notifying after doing all your sugested steps, thank you
  8. Im trying to stress test my CPU at stock speeds with CPU Z, just to compare temps with my old Thermal paste but surprisingly it cant even take it for 40 minutes straight, again im not overclocking anything, my cooler is an NH-D15s from Noctua, computer restarts at some point between that time just like an overclok fail -take note im not overcloking- Just to make things clear, my BIOS RAM settings are tweaked, i lowered the CAS numbers and changed other settings with the DRAM calculator for Ryzen, making BIOS settings default helps CPU hold stress test for much longer (haven't tested yet but i stopped manually at 1 hour test) problem is, with default BIOS configuration computer bugs after loging on form sleep mode, it just freezes and stop responding indefinetly. I understand CPU Z stress test is a very soft one, cant explain why it just crashes, ¿any clue about BIOS settings or freezes after loging in back from sleep mode?
  9. So i connected my old Apple HDD (7200 RPM) into my pc to see if i could make use of it, in the first day all went normal, i formatted and added HDD the right way but suddenly today every game and app installed there takes forever to start, and i mean i know HDDs are slow but this is innsane, any clues what may be happening? bad idea to recycle an old Apple HDD?
  10. @Jurrunio, i see you have commented in my 2 posts, wich i appreciate, i created both to get some attention LOL, i see now i have no problems with this build, and i have read in the meantime that while m.2_1 indeed is the only one that supports SATA m.2 this one is located in the bottom of the board, so i will have to connect my SATA m.2 Drive on it, and the NVME in the one on top. I still dont know hoy many SATA ports will steal the m.2 SATA drive when connected this way, i would really like to make a RAID 1 on a pair of HDD and have an extra SSD for my professional work Image below shows this diagram ?
  11. So, im finally done building my system, the last component left to purchase is the Motherboard and im thinking on buying the Crosshair VII Hero (WIFI) (X470) for my Ryzen 3900x. But the question that is likely to make me regret my decision is ¿Can i connect a Samsung 970 EVO Plus (m.2 NVME) plus a WD Blue (m.2 SATA Mode) without stealing any GPU PCIE lanes/performance or too much SATA Slots for future HDD connections? ¿what's the corrrect way to connect an NVME + m.2 SATA drives on this board? ¿Should i get an x570 instead (which i dont want to)? If i lose performance on the GPU, how much it is? Pls help, i swear i cannot understand completely the manuals and while many people's case is connecting 2 NVME or questions about just connecting one NVME, there are not much cases like mine.
  12. SO i have 2 questions guys! I am considering to buy a Crosshair VII Hero (WIFI) for my Ryzen 3900x, which i want to use among Stock and make overclock. But i dont know if i will have problems with that Board, i already know theres a BIOS update needed, any comments against my choice? Other consideration is the Asus x-570e gaming but is so expensive and im not needing the PCIE 4.0 or the WIFI 6 soo... pls help In the other hand, im planning on connecting the following: 1x m.2 NVME Samsung EVO plus 970, 1x m.2 Western Digital Blue (SATA not NVME!!)... will i have problems if i attempt to connect an extra 2TB ssd for storage in the standard SATA ports obviously? is SSD storage a safe choice for Photography storage or should i consider HDD instead? i make a living on the photo bussiness so i need to know this. Thanks for your help beforehand! My Current system: Ryzen 9 3900x Samsung 970 EVO plus & WD Blue 500gb m.2 (SATA not NVME!) GTX 970 (a friend of mine send this as a gift while i upgrade to a better GPU so is excellent and free) 16gb RAM Kit 3200 Mhz CL18 Hyper X Fury Black Noctua NHD15s Seasonic Platinum Plus 650w Fractal Design Meshify C 3 extra Noctua fans for cooling
  13. I already have a 2x8 kit and im gonna need another 2x8 so i can have 32gb, at the time i bought i didn't know about all the compatibility issues with even slightly different DIMM's
  14. I'm looking to pair two separate kits (2x8 + 2x8 = 32Gb) with my new Ryzen 7 2700x with maybe an Asus Crosshair VII Hero, some Aorus Gaming 7 or those good ol' X470 will there be a problum? Details of the DIMM's in image below:
  15. So guys, i just upgraded my iMac RAM in the following way: 2 (pre-installed) Elpida DIMM's 4gb + 2 (new) Crucial 8gb DIMM's for a total of 24 Gb with all the compatibility specs i could find (Haven't done any benchmarks) [First Image Below]. And its working like a charm, i can now have 5 plus apps opened including LR and PS and switch between them (which is what i wanted) memory pressure in activity monitor is on the floor compared to old 8 gb being always to high with just Lightroom and Photoshop opened, i see workload in PS is not stealing so much from de Hard Drive, files take the same time to save but that's because this is the same ol' 7200RPM HDD but ill be fine with that. Closing multiple programs now is too much faster and that was the most annoying thing happening to me before upgrading. I assigned 45% of memory to Photoshop, increased Cache levels to 8 and history states to 75 as i do a lot of brushing to my retouching, no problemo working with the 46 mp files even at 4.5 gb file size (with a couple of layers tho) Now, why the system is not giving me problems if the new kit of RAM Memory is so different from the preinstalled one, considering this as a 6+ years old machine? i thought there would be a problem, is it becasue OSX (El Crapitan) is optimizing in some way? Is it because it's DDR3 and such low Frecuency dont stress the Processor with such slot population? Is it because it's Intel platform? I bought 16Gb kit (2x8) CAS18 3200Mhz (idk single or dual rank tho9 [Details in the second image below] for my new (under construction) PC Rig and it will be a Ryzen Third generation system (But lets assume i buy a Motherboard for 2nd gen Ryzen (lets say Asus Crosshair VII Hero X470 - one of the best in its category, and lets say i buy a R7 2700x just for the sake of realism as Ryzen 3000 isn't launched yet)... Do you think there'll be a problem if i jut buy the same kit of 2x8 as before, populate the 4 slots of RAM and works just as fine as this? i am totally aware i'm working Dual-Channel here. Thanks, @ch3w2oy, @Bearmann, @badreg, @Origami Cactus, @Brink2Three, @GrockleTD
  16. Ok so i better buy it soon right? Also, did you mean wisest* or sisest there? (Not an english talker myself)
  17. So i bought a 2x sticks of RAM kit 8gb DDR4 3200Mhz from Hyper X Fury Black, but now i relalize im going to need more since i will be doing heavy work on Photoshop and multitasking with 46 mp images on my new build, will it work if i add 2 extra sticks with the same voltage, same speed and model number? i bought my sticks about a month and a half ago and those seems to be the same although i dont know. Images below show the same model reference for both kits, the one i bought and the one i'm willing to buy on Amazon. Will it be performance loss or very little benefit from adding ram this way?
  18. Thanks for responding guys. ch3w2oy, i see your rig is listed below your comment, and i see you're using a Ryzen System, nice setup BTW, i couldn'd afford a Titanium Seasonic myself and just bought the Platinum one. I just read an article from a Photographer talking about recommending at least 32 gb RAM grouped in 2 sticks of 16 gbs ram (as most of the MoBo's for mainstream sockets as AM4 and LGA1151 available cap at 64 RAM support, it makes sense to group sticks that way). So i bought 2x8gb Ram sticks at 3200 Mhz, is there a problam purchasing another 2 sticks of the same RAm and upgrading to 32Gb? I know those sockets just support dual channul memory and if one uses the 4 slots it lowers the clock speed of the sticks. Did i made a bad decision?
  19. My main goal when building my future system is longevity, im waiting for those Ryzen cus Intel and Nvidia Prices may drop (and im going Nvidia all day long no matter the cost) but also there's a rumored 12 core near-5ghz AMD processor, i was actually putting my eye on the i7 9700k (recomended by Puget for Photo work BTW). So you recommend me Intel over AMD for my main work right?
  20. Yes, for my next rig i already bought one Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVME M.2 for windows and PS, plus a WD Blue M.2 for scratch or caching.
  21. My PS Performance configuration is set as images show below, those are the tweaks i did, note that until this point i was working with default settings.
  22. Well, about this, i tweaked a little bit photoshop performance settings, assigned an External Scratch disk and i'm getting 100% efficiency right at the file openning with 4 layers (3 curves with masking and one transparent of healing brush work)
  23. Just don't laugh at me guys XD, as i'm just holding my ass for those incoming Ryzen 3000 and building a new Rig with Noctua Cooler and tons of RAM already bought, is just i need to deliver Photos and bussiness is doing well so...
