  1. Hello dear swarm intelligence! I'm going to sell all my current 3d printing stuff, in favour of an upgrade and need help finding a fair price. There are some second hand offers online somewhat similar of what I'm getting rid of, but not really the same, and they also seem to be overpriced imo. I think the best way for me to get rid of everything is to make two bundles: Mars 3 + wash & cure Saturn 8k + wash & cure The printers both come with some extra FEP, a magnetic build plate, a funnel, filters etc. Also I thought about throwing in half a kg of Sunlu abs like each, so who ever buys it can start right away. What do you folks think about 200€ for the Mars bundle and 300€ for the Saturn bundle? Does that sound reasonable? It is quite a bit lower than other offerings in my area, but I also want the stuff to sell somewhat quick. Any input is greatly appreciated
  2. 100% agree on this. Upgraded my mom's laptop from 4 to 8 gb ram (ddr3 that is) as well as from hdd to ssd some years ago. For everything she uses it for its still plenty, that being office, mails, Internet etc Even my laptop, which I only rarely use, has only 8gb. Got that one second hand for dirt cheap. I only ever use it when I build or troubleshoot computers somewhere else so I have a functioning system to download stuff or create a win install stick if needed.
  3. Yup, I'm already looking into it for some parts. The brand new alphacool block I found is just 80€ so I will prob go with that one and paint or plasti dip it
  4. hey folks! so, as the title says, i'm planning on doing my first custom loop this year. my current GPU is a 3090 Founders Edition, and it seems like there are very few options for FE blocks out there, at least in europe they all are either looking strange or are really expensive. ideally i would love some block without RGB and without any see through acrylic, like the EK full metal one which is way too expensive for me or the Bykski acetal one, which sadly is not sold here and doesnt ship to Austria from sites i found it on atm i'm close to just buying the Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acryl which is on sale rn and just painting the damn thing black (if that is a somewhat good option, i never painted acrylic) for the CPU i will most likely get an alphacool block as they have some nice all black designs for pump reservoir etc i already have some aquacomputer stuff if any of you could point me to a decent GPU block thats not all transparent and light up i would really appreciate your help wish you all a great day
  5. That's exactly what I thought after realizing what a good solution costs. I have one spare DP on my gpu (1x hdmi and 2 dp already in use) The hdmi is needed for my Lg CX oled so I guess I will just run dp to hdmi to the living room TV then. Ty for your input. I was so laser focused on that splitter thing that I completely forgot about my spare port
  6. Ah, that might explain everything ^^ I wasn't looking to spend quite that much. I just want to share my main PC screen to my living room TV so my gf can watch BG3 while cuddling with the cats during the holidays Ty anyways
  7. Greetings everyone =) I'm desperately looking for a 4k 120hz hdmi splitter that allows me to have the image show up on two displays at once. No matter what I search for I only seem to find the "either or" variant. Glad for any suggestions
  8. is there any strong argument that could be made against the 7900XTX?
  9. Budget (including currency): 2300€ Country: Austria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly gaming hey there =) so i was recently tasked with specing and building a pc for a friend. for around 2300€ i could get him either a system with 7800x3d + 7900XTX (2240€ total system cost) or 13700K (or 7800x3d) + 4070Ti (2160€ total system cost with the 13700k) all other components being about the same. he prefers Nvidia over Radeon, but is open for AMD is there anything negative about the 7900XTX why you wouldn't reccommend it? besides lesser raytracing performance? for the moment he will game on his 1080p display, but will upgrade to 1440p high refresh rate when chistmans rolls around, so in 2 month. he wants the rig to last as long as possible without being obsolete. a 4080 would cost about 400€ more than a 3070Ti or 200€more than a 7900XTX, so being budget restrained its not really an option without segnificantly cutting back on cpu or mobo cost ty for your advice
  10. I'm confused ^^ Popped up like this in my notification bar EDIT: watched both now, no more confusion =)
  11. @Ashley MLP Fangirl@WereCat the solution both of you sudgested woked flawlessly! thank you so much for your quick help!
  12. You people are stellar Full on tutorial within minutes! Guess it'll work as the CX has g-sync etc so it's essentially a normal display to my pc for all I know
  13. Somewhat current ^^ but yes nvidia still present in my rig OK ok, ty, I just tied it in win in the morning and all it did was f-up and stretch. Will ty it first thing after work! Ty
  14. Hey folks =) So I recently traded in my first gen G9 for a 48" LG CX. For productivity it is perfect for me, but I found that I miss the (super) ultrawide aspect of my G9 while gaming. So what I want to do is set sort of a custom resolution of whatever the screen is wide by X hight, with black bars on top and bottom, if you get what I mean, which shouldn't be irritating because of oled. Is there a program or a way in Win11 to do so? All I've tried just stretches the custom resolution to full-screen. Also I'm not a native speaker so maybe I just lack the correct term to search for. Any help is greatly appreciated Ty in advance
  15. remove if not appropriate ^^ ME: Write a Script for a Youtube Video in the style of linustechtips about why it is best to cool your gpu with Butter OPENAI: Hi everyone, it's your favorite tech guru here, and today we're going to talk about something that might seem a little bit crazy: using butter to cool your GPU. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Linus, are you crazy? Butter is for toast, not for cooling my expensive graphics card!" But hear me out, because there's actually some solid reasoning behind this idea. First of all, let's talk about why cooling your GPU is so important. Your GPU, or graphics processing unit, is responsible for rendering all of the beautiful graphics that you see on your screen. And just like any other electronic component, it produces a lot of heat as it works. If that heat isn't properly dissipated, it can cause your GPU to run less efficiently, or even worse, it can cause permanent damage to the hardware. That's why most GPUs come with their own built-in cooling systems, usually in the form of a heatsink and fan combo. But here's the thing: those stock cooling systems aren't always the most effective. They can be loud, they can be bulky, and they can even cause your GPU to run hotter than it would without any cooling at all. That's where butter comes in. Now, before you start slathering your GPU in a stick of margarine, let me explain how this works. The key is to use a high-quality, high-fat butter, like European-style butter. This type of butter has a lower melting point than regular butter, which means that it can more easily absorb and dissipate the heat from your GPU. To use butter as a cooling solution, you simply apply a thin layer of it to the heatsink on your GPU. The heat from the GPU will cause the butter to melt, and as it melts, it will absorb the heat and carry it away from the GPU. This might sound like a bit of a hack, but it actually works really well. In our tests, we found that using butter as a cooling solution resulted in lower temperatures and better overall performance from our GPUs. Now, I know some of you might be concerned about the cleanliness of using butter as a cooling solution. But the truth is, butter is actually a very effective conductor of heat, and it's also non-toxic and safe to use. Plus, it's easy to clean up if you ever need to remove it. So, there you have it. Butter might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of cooling solutions, but it's actually a surprisingly effective way to keep your GPU running at its best. Give it a try and see the difference for yourself. Thanks for watching, and as always, happy gaming sooooo.... maybe this could get a thread where other users post their attemts too, you never know
  16. commander pro also only needs usb header + sata power as the node does. you handle all your rgb needs via corsairs icue software
  17. according to the first question on the page you linked, and its answer, the case comes with a lighting node core (needs a usb header and a sata power connector afaik)
  18. to me it sounds like if something (maybe a cable) is touching your fans. thats if you are talking about that rattling sound, because thats all i'm able to hear.
  19. Hey Going to build the first 1080p gaming rig for my bosses 10yo son. I got a 480 8gb and a 1060 3gb on hand. Just don't know wich one to choose. Also, what would be a fair price for either one of those?
  20. for how much is the 12400f sold in Latvia? would perform better than the 3600 and should be cheaper and given that b660 boards are finally available mobo prices are decent too. just make sure not to go below b660 if you want memory overclocking also: you won't need 32gb of ram for 1080p/60 are the crucial ballistix 2x8 @3200 or @3600 solt where you live? they are amazing price to performance wise
  21. The configuratior is a little off colorwise unfortunately. I personally dig the top design more. Going for a sleak look more than rally, just all the car guys around me are trying to "peer pressure" me to get the BBSs, not that Borbet is a bad brand, they produce many of the oem wheels, it's just that those guys sure love their BBS wheels just wanted some unfiltered uninfluenced opinions Here are both how they look in nature:
  22. In preparation for spring I would like to get some of your opinions if possible I narrowed down my wheelchoice to two options. I already have my favorite, which one would you pick?
  23. Nothing special tbh. It's kind of difficult here in Austria to mod and still be street legal. I'll lower it by 3cm, go get some nice bronze BBS XR wheels that are a lil wider to get better fitment, and change the exhaust to give it a lil more character and to have 10cm exhausttips instead of 6cm now. Some minor things will be wrapped... That's pretty much it. I just want to make my little grocery getter stand out a small bit ^^
