nope, the sata cables are the same through and through, no internal differences it's all marketing, and you are right about the cat 5 and 6

cat5 and 6 are actually different cables connectors, usb 3 is a different cable and connector than usb 2, but is reverse compatible and as of now sata connection is the same across the board like pci-e, although pci-e 4 is supposedly changing things
A friend of mine is looking to buy a tablet, his budget is 100 to 300 USD and there is no preference of OS. I already grilled him on what his uses are going to be and he said that he just wants options. I need some options to give him.
Back when I was in school I installed Halo CE to the school server and put links to the files on all the computers and the reaction from the principal (who is super anti-gun by the way) was priceless when she walked into the computer lab and every computer was being manned by a kid playing halo. I was never caught.
Edit: The non-techie part is that they never quite figured out how to uninstall it and I'm pretty sure that it's still lurking on their servers waiting for a fellow techie to discover and relink the files. That will be a glorious day.
I was working in a computer lab with about a dozen computers and they were powered from a power strip plugged into a power strip plugged into a power strip.
