  1. If it's under warranty go through Asus. Anything you could do would likely void the warranty.
  2. Is it a used card? Might want to redo the thermal paste.
  3. It would be fun to have a scrapyard wars where in addition to picking parts on a budget they have to make a PC case out of a non-PC case. A super fun example would be if they were limited to Ikea or something like that.
  4. It's a beast laptop for sure, but I'd still prefer a portable desktop.
  5. Did anyone else notice that he gave no directions or instructions for cleaning the old thermal paste off of the previous heatsink before reinstalling it? I'd say that's a pretty big party foul and that many noobs would make this mistake because they trust "the great Linus."
  6. I'm well aware of that thanks. The issue is that I'm building my own case, so in this case (no pun intended), I am the case manufacturer.
  7. I need to find the physical dimensions (height specifically) of the the LGA1151 socket with a CPU installed as I'm dealing with some low clearance heatsinks. I was able to find this LGA1150 socket application guide which showed this information: However, I can't for the life of me find the same guide for the LGA1151. Does anyone have an LGA1151 mobo and CPU sitting around that they can put together and measure with calipers? In short I need the dimensions form the top of the motherboard to the top of the CPU's heatspreader/lid. Thanks in advance!
