  1. Hey, I will try Vsync and see what happens. Currently, I'm playing with RT off and the game is admittedly a lot better. My refresh rate is 240hz.
  2. Hello, thanks for responding. Here is what I'm getting right now on Afterburner assuming I'm looking at the right thing.
  3. Specs: CPU: Intel Core i9-10900K 3.7 GHz 10-Core Processor GPU: MSI - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB VENTUS 3X OC 12GB DDR6X Ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 PSU: Corsair RM (2019) 850 W Fully Modular Storage: WD_BLACK SN750 1 TB M.2-2280 NVM I have the game on its highest settings possible except for Ray Tracing, I have it on "high" instead of "very high" and turned down the slider to "3" I believe. Don't get me wrong, the game runs and is mostly playable, I get around 90-110 fps, however, it suffers from crazy frame drops in open world, and often see it go down to 70-80 fps and sometimes 60 fps if depending on what's going on. When it's raining hard in open world, the game seriously chugs and goes down to 50~ fps and it drives me nuts. I know the game is specced to work great with an RTX 3080, so I figured an RTX 4070 would be perfectly fine. I'm not playing with DLSS 3 because I don't know what settings to use to make it work right as I get pretty bad ghosting whenever I use it. Any advice?
  4. I just exchanged the card since it's better safe than sorry. I'll have to wait and see if I notice any artifacts but so far so good!
  5. I think you're right. If I return and exchange it and the problem persists, then maybe it's the drivers. Hopefully not anything worse haha
  6. Hello, I bought a new Nvidia RTX 4070 (MSI VENTUS 3X OC 12GB DDR6X) from Best Buy last week and it's mostly been fine, but I've noticed strange artifacts that happen very occasionally. For the most part, everything is fine but sometimes when watching YouTube videos, I'll see a random black line kind of flash and go away very suddenly and that's it. Then I won't notice it. I probably only see an artifact like once a day. I thought it was just YouTube videos doing it, but I saw the same thing happen but white happen while I was playing Valorant. It's definitely not a big issue, but I just fear that something is wonky with this card. The only other issue I've encountered that I don't think is a problem with the card itself is that Spider-Man Remastered doesn't run as great as I would have thought it would. I have the 4070 with an i9 10900k and 16 gb of DDR4 ram. I'm trying to play on Ultra with Ray Tracing on "high" instead of "very high" and the game runs okay, but I get a lot of frame drops, usually around the 63fps zone and it gets noticeable sometimes. I figured the game would be flawless with a 4070. Again, this probably isn't an issue with the card. I'm mostly concerned about the random but not frequent artifacts. I forgot to uninstall my last GPU's drivers when I installed the 4070, but I ran DDU in safe mode and uninstalled the last drivers, and installed the new ones after the fact. I bought a new display cable. I still seem to randomly get them. The only thing left I can think to do is try a different PSU cable. My PSU is modular and I'm using the 8-pin connect that has a second 8-pin connecter attached to the same cable. Do note that my GPU only requires a single 8-pin connection and not the bigger one the founder edition card uses, so I'm not doing the thing where I'm using a single PSU cable to plug into both female connectors of the adapter cable. Lastly, I could try DDU one more time in hopes it's a driver issue somehow. Does anyone have any advice? I have until 09/26 to return my card, I'm wondering if I shouldn't risk it and just exchange my card with a new one while I still have time. Or if I should run DDU and assume this is likely a driver issue still.
  7. I bought this Neaumann TLM 103 second hand from Reverb.com and I took the windscreen off cause I heard a weird rattle and found two things. I found these 2 washers loose in there and I found the backside of the capsule to look kind of dirty? After testing the mic, everything sounds great however and I don't hear anything wrong. I'm not sure if there's anything I should be concern about. I'll include pics and a mic sample. Document 1.wav
  8. Just for the case. I'm planning on using a MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX LGA1200 Motherboard which is an ATX board.
  9. Budget (including currency): $200-300 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: N/A Other details I'm looking for a mid tower ATX computer case that is black and obviously there are a lot of options. I don't really know what to pick, so I'm going to go off a special detail that technically doesn't matter but I want it. I want a case that has a cool side panel, something where instead of it being attached by 2 screws on the back of the case, it has a cool door instead so I wouldn't even need to unscrew the side panel to get inside the computer. I'll take any suggestions, thank you!
  10. This isn't a complaint or anything. Anyway, I noticed Linus uses Sennheiser HD 600s when recording LANShow which are open back headphones which is prone to a lot of sound leakage. I personally have my own podcast and instead of using my 650s, I use my HD 280 Pros since they're closed back. Has Linus ever addressed this? I figure he uses them because it's easy to hear yourself speak but seems like an odd choice for recording a podcast lol.
  11. If so, could you provide guidance on how to do so? I've never needed to go back an update.
  12. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but my computer updated to the most recent Windows 10 update and ever since I'm having dire internet problems. Since yesterday, I can only load a couple web pages before I lose internet connection and I have to right click my internet status and click troubleshoot and wait a minute before the internet works again. I'm on a PC and I have 2 WiFi adapters (Ethernet not possible with my configuration) and both of them give me the same issues. I tried uninstalling the adapter's drivers with no prevail. Any ideas? Any one relate?
  13. So boot with my SSD and install Windows 10 with my disc? If so, how do I set my computer to boot with it automatically?
