  1. how about some nice audio, headphones with a nice amp and dac if hes into that
  2. if a ramdrive is of use to you then it would be really nice and also running VMs with plenty of ram is also nice but you also need more cpu cores for that.
  3. maybe consider some of the korean panels. they are really inexpensive
  4. go for a different ssd. the ssd plus has really bad speeds. the pny cs1311 240gb is a great option. ive used it in multiple builds
  5. stick with the stock cooler and go with a wd blue 1tb. use the extra cash on a i5 6500 while youre at it
  6. go for the aoc qhd monitor its the best deal and a qhd panel is really awesome especially if you are already used to the 27" size. the higer res is awesome
  7. im pretty sure an lga 1150 socket board is either an 8 or 9 series chipset. for example the z87 or z97
  8. cryorig m9i its a really nice small tower cooler. will fit into almost any case and is very silent.
  9. both are the same mouse. sometimes they dont include all the details in the description
  10. no problem. as im unfamiliar with the types of tracks you listen to. a solid recommendation would be the audio technicas, the im02, im 50 and im 70. the newer series, e 50 and e 40 are also great options. if u want sennheiser, the cx 5 is really nice the momentums are also really great.
  11. okay thanks. any way to set it to line level on the green jack and let the speaker amp do the work? i know for a fact if using a dac you max the system volume to get the highest signal(not sure if right terminology) as windows does some funny stuff when u lower the volume in terms of sound quality. thanks. do you have a pair yourself ?
  12. that pc is nice but the 6700k and the d15 with a h110 board seems like a waste. would prefer to see a 6600k with a lesser cooler and a z170 board. that would be the better performer with an oc on the cpu.
  13. the zero audio carbo tenore is a excellent option. its available on amazon.
  14. the shure se 215 are a great pair but not for everybody. they are very dark and are not the clearest things around. take a look at the hifiman re-400 or re-00. a great earphone is the zero audio carbo tenore. it sounds really good and i own a pair myself.

    Swan m10

Hey guys I'm looking to purchase a pair of Swan M10. Any of you guys know if they are good? They seem like a great price to performance option. If you guys have any experience with them let me know. Much appreciated. Also, I want to plug this pair of powered speakers into the back of my pc motherboard output. Would it be best to turn windows volume up to a 100 and control it from the speakers? If not, how would I go about setting up the audio output for line level.
  16. dont go with the kingston ssd. the performance on that is sub par in comparison to the competition. either the ocz or the mx 300 will do just fine.
  17. in terms of the psu quality (though im not a professional), i wouldnt trust xigmatek psus in general as they arent as well known or popular compared to other psus on the market. in terms of a psu with two 8 pin eps connectors, look at the corsair rmx 850w. i used one of those in a x99 system currently in my house and have no issues with it, extremely satisfied with that psu. for the hexa+ im starting to get doubts and am leaning towards the s12G 450 for $79 which is a steal but am afraid they may not have stock. i have used the s12 520 before and im super satisfied with that psu. my problem with the hexa+ is that although it has 450 and 550w variants, the wattage it is able to deliver is no where near the stated power output.
  18. that seasonic unit seems like an awesome unit with great reviews. not sure i can go for it though. what do u think of the fsp hexa+ 450 and 500. some say it should be fine and others are saying otherwise, leaving me with a lot of uncertainty. i just used a superflower leadex gold 550w in a build just a few days ago and thought it was awesome. their stuff is also out of my price range.
  19. i only have money for the fsp 450w which i can get for $55 the 550w for $65 the 500b goes for $75. the seasonic s12 520w goes for $89.
  20. its because of brexit and the trump election which caused a change in the value of us and uk currency.
  21. was it an efficient unit or a budget one
  22. the evga 500b is more but is out of my budget.
  23. yes im aware of that but my concern lies with the amount of wattage it is able to deliver.
