  1. I removed one of the fans closest to the tubing of the rad where i initially though the sound was coming from, i have not heard the same sound since. The sound on the other hand can come and go so i will give it a trial run and see. Currently monitoring the temps with hwinfo64 and under light load it averages around 56 C so far with highs in the 70's. Could be better but could be worse
  2. Ah ill try that right away, i tried to listen to where it originated up close earlier today and felt that the noise was to faint to be the fans. Thank you for the tip!
  3. Hi LTT Forums, after hours of research i have given up and resort to the hive mind for help, i have the following issue: After roughly a year of constant use my AIO cooler is starting to make a rattling/knocking noise, here are some basic info: Arctic cooling Liquid Freezer II 420mm Noise sounds like distant jackhammer, engine knocking or some sort of rattling. Not loud and i can barely hear it with openbacked headphones. Noise comes and goes, lasts from a few seconds to 15 seconds. I heard it once or twice before but it subsided and disappeared for first a long time but now this is the 2nd time within a few days and it has not stopped this time. Noise sound level varies, it goes up and down like a sine wave with a frequency of around 3 seconds from crest to trough. Noise stays at a constant frequency After some investigation the noise seems to originate from the radiator. Radiator is mounted at the top of my case. Very rarely do i have a sound that emanates from the pump but it does happen. I have not found a video or soundfile in this or other forums that is similar to the noise i am experiencing, sadly there is too much noise pollution currently so i am unable to record it myself. I've sent an explanation to Arctic already but their support can take up to 5 days and i am unable to afford major downtime right now so the real question is if i should order a new AIO or if the issue seems minor enough for me to await their response? Any advice to correct the issue is also greatly appreciated!
  4. Well right now its very simple: Speakers: Yamaha HS7, powered studio monitors so no amp needed there, just clean signal needed (input: TRS or XLR.) Headphones: Philips Fidelio X2HR, unsure of specifics but they are very easy to power. I'm only using a 3,5mm to dual TRS cable from my motherboard to the speakers. And the headphones are also directly connected to the PC through 3,5mm on the front.
  5. Would you say that there is a reason to go for the more expensive Focusrite product out of a audio quality standpoint? (The price here for the Focusrite is about 2x the price of the Behringer, hence why im asking.) Both the Behringer and the Focusrite seems to do what im looking so thank you for the recommendations!
  6. @rice guruYo do you you have any recommendations? You always have some good tips Neither of my speakers or headphones are hard demanding but i wanna get rid of the electrical interference from everything being close to my GPU. Some dac + amp combo that has dual output for both headphones and an output to speakers maybe?
  7. Sadly not, i wish i could have solved this with software this time but i have to get either an external dac+amp combo or something like a Sennheiser GSX 1000
  8. I looked this up and it looked very promising until i realised that it would cost almost 400 euro where I'm at and noone even has them in stock
  9. Recently got home my new studiomonitors to use as speakers in my den. Love the sound so far but i have two issues that are bugging me quite a bit. 1. As i use headphones daily to speak with pals on discord etc. I have to physically plug in and out cables from my pc as to switch the output. 2. I have interreference in the signal from the MB to the speakers. So I'm on the market for an external soundcard / audio interface which offers the ability to switch in-between the headphones and speakers at a button press, Which seems a lot harder to find than what i expected. Started looking at "gaming" accessories and found that the ASUS Xonar U7 MKII almost was what i was looking for, if it wasn't for the fact that the product is outdated and EOL i would have tried it. Been looking around at many different products but does anyone know of a product that would fit my criteria's, as i seem to not find what I'm looking for? (Speakers are active and my headphones are super easy to drive at 32 ohm.) Thanks in advance
  10. Im a huge fan of logitech mice, ive used about 3 mice per year for the last 5 years or so and logitech mice are almost always the longest ones to stay. My personal favorites are the following: 1. G Pro - Feels amazing in the hand (It was a good size for me to start with.) very light, tracks beautifully and ive had no problems with double clicking or touching buttons. 2. G 305 - Best budget option, Small but nimble, Amazing battery life that is much better than the G Pro, "Heavy for such a small mouse, the G Pro is lighter" 3. G 903 - Good all around mouse but reaaaallly heavy for someone that likes to play mobas or FPS. The G502 is heavy and the metal mousewheel moves around slightly which ofsets the balance of the mouse when flicking. Corsair scimitar is my go to for mmorpg, been using this one ever since i got fed up with my Razer naga epic chroma and im not looking back. Old Razer deathadder felt great in the hand but ive heard that the newer onces feel cheaper and i will tbh not give razer another try for a long while. Would have recommended Glorious model O wireless variants but the price has slowly creeped up where im at so im not gonna officially recommend that one anymore, there are better mice for the price and if you are gonna buy a mouse in that price category just get a G pro and you will be set for a while. Wired versions are still good tho, make sure to meassure your hand and compare it to RJN list of mice, he has made some good guides on how to do this and they seem to check out based on personal observations aswell. If you dont want to go wireless even tho i can strongly recommend it, i would try to get ahold on a finalmouse, any model works, might get anoying after a while since dirt etc. tends to clog up the holes in the mouse shell. Keyboards: Im gonna be completely honest and say that i dont have too much memory before the times ive used corsair keyboards, they work really good, cherry switches arent any top of the line switches anymore but they have been doing their job well the entire time ive had em, i can recommend the K70 versions since im an avid user of the keypad. I've heard alot of good stuff about logitech keyboards recently but im so satisfied atm with my K70 that i will simply not swap it out before it breaks or i spill Coca Cola on it whichever comes first. Had the G710 from logitech before but that model is discontinued ages ago.
  11. So yeah title basically sums it up quite good, I've possibly managed to order a 6800 XT. It would be a huge boost to my system as i had to cancel my outstanding order on a TUF 3080 for obvious reasons... After the excitement settled from maybe being able to put together an all AMD system for the first time in a long while, i realized that my beloved Nvidia Broadcast would not work anymore which would result in heavily degraded voice quality for my mates in discord. I use a Blue Yeti which is ok quality but it picks up everything so nvidia broadcast has saved my friends from being forced to listen to every keystroke. I tried to find threads regarding this but the lack of answers and general poor quality of those posts is the reason why i decided to make a new one. I've seen some posts about RNN voice etc. does anyone have any experience with this or other denoice programs? Krisp.ai? are there better versions of this program that isnt the built in dumpster fire that discord uses? Link to old thread regarding this same topic:
  12. I'ma just clearify that the T50RPs are planar headphones and thus tend to be power hogs, hence to generally low impedence number but the thirst for power. I havent had planar before so i wanted to consult a forum just to get things right the first time, since i mostly manage myself when it comes to dynamic drivers.
  13. Well basically i want to go as low as possible since i already spent so much on audio gear the last month but if i will have to set a budget i guess under 200 but its very flexible.
  14. Sadly the fostex T50RPs are nutoriously hard to drive apparently, ive been using a magni schiit 2 and im not currently able to drive them without maxing everything. Im maybe looking at maybe a Schiit magni 2 Uber or Jotenheim if i give up and just drop 500 $ into them. Might have to return them if i cant get something at a respectable price sadly Darn Sweden and our taxes & Import fees making good audio more expensive than it should.
  15. Basically the title says it all but ill guess i will make up a nice fairytale for context: Once there was a boy on his quest for good audio, He goodled wide and far and finally settled on a pair of Fostex T50RP MK3s. When they arrived their Earpads where flat and they sounded no good. Hmm said the boy "This is not as it should." With a brand new pair of Shure HPAEC1540 Pads they felt staggering but the sound was yet unflattering... Now that that menace is over lets get going with the real reason of this post. Basically i f***ed up and my current DAC + AMP solution doesnt have enough "oumph" to drive these bastards. Would love to have a Combo solution but im open to seperate solutions. Any recommendations? Funds are kinda running low so the cheaper the better but all rec's are welcomed, cheers! Oh and they need to be available in the Northern parts of EU.
  16. Thanks for all the replies guys much appriciated!! I've spoken with the other guys and they are also recommending the Lenovo X1 carbon series. And ive now kinda set my eyes upon the X1 G7 with the i5-8265U processor since the local prices are quite high here as for now Model number: 20QD00L3MX Heard romours about them having pretty good battery life aswell so im looking forward to trying one later next week
  17. Couldnt have said it better myself, i've tested around 15 mice in the last couple of years and im currently using the G305 and im very satisfied, great ambidextrous (Only buttons on one side tho) small mouse that performs like a god in bot fps and moba games especially if you are considering the price! Havent had any problems with mine yet and the scroll wheel is simple yet amazing. A regular AALR6 battery lasts for about 2-4 months depending on usage. If im going to nitpick, the only thing that bothers me sometimes is the slight unbalance when using a full size AA battery as it makes the G305 kind of back heavy. Can also recommend the razer viper, have heard of manufacturing defects tho but its probably sorted out by now.
  18. I recently got a new job and will be dealing with alot of on-site and off-site IT work, since i need to be on the run alot and i dont own a laptop right now ive gotten the funds from the company to acquire a brand new workplace laptop that will become an additional signing bonus, (around 1500$-2k$) What Laptops would you guys recommend? preferrably something light with a ethernet port if possible The possiblity of having a docking station is also a big plus Thanks in advance
  19. So yeah... after about 8 months of using this setup without any issues my second monitor stopped recieving signal from the pc and now just shows up as not active in display setting. Setup: Rtx 2060 that outputs to one 144hz main display through Display-port aswell as outputting to a second display using HDMI. (both from the same card not from mobo and gpu) Second monitor turns on and works but isnt recieving signal from the pc, if i switch the hdmi to my main monitor it works fine and detects as usual. Im kind of confused and i've tried the usuals: driver updates both monitors and gpu aswell as switching cables around etc. This all happened after the pc had been turned of for more than 24h, win update might have had something to do with this but i am unsure. any ideas are welome since im just confused rn xd. Tried using google but to no avail. Fix, revert to previous windows version and it fixed itself... microsoft has done it again...
  20. Thanks for all the great answers, i always run my main monitor on 144hz and im a total fps junkie when it comes to gaming so i guess im a little narrow minded when it comes to my pc outputting more than 144 just in case. I currently have no plans on switching to 1440p or higher but it is starting to grow on me since my main monitor is starting to show deadpixels Would it be wiser to save the money from buying a new GPU and putting it into a M.2 ssd, 16 more gb of 3600 Mhz ram and a Noctua cpu cooler?
  21. So a while back i purchased an Gigabyte RTX 2060 6gb knowing of it being heavily bottlenecked by my i5-6500 cpu. My dilemma right now is that ive upgraded my pc to a level that wasnt really intended 10 months ago resulting in the reverse effect of my new 3600x being bottlenecked by my 2060. While this isnt really an issue for me since i mainly play league and other not so heavy titles, there is the instance now and then where me and my friends plays the new battlefield for a month straight. With the new release of the 2060 KO i feel like the resale potential of a rather cheap 2060 card has hit the floor and if i would like to get anything for it i should sell it before the KO models roll out in my country. For how many years do you guys think that a 2060 will be just fine for until it struggles with newer titles and i will have to upgrade? And what gpu have you guys paired with your ryzen setups?
  22. A Shure SM 7 B or a Rode NT1-A setup should work alot better than a blue yeti for something like voice acting. Just hide in a closet with alot of clothes around you to eliminate as much resonance from your surroundings as possible and you will be set
  23. Sounds like you have some sort of issue with game ready audio drivers, try using guru3d's driver cleaner and reinstall the drivers for your GPU, sound like you have an old audio driver that is ghosting and making life strange. If you can then please upload your pc specs so we have some more info regarding your pc. Edit: Name of the program i used is "Guru3d's display driver uninstaller."
  24. Probably through their ICUE software downloadable from their website. I don't think they use another software for their k55 keyboards.
  25. I mean it's a pretty good keyboard for the price, you can get better and you can definitely find keyboards at this price with mechanical switches. But just because you can find something that is better doesnt meanthat the keyboad youbought is bad. For being a rubber dome keyboard i think it's pretty good, but at the end of the day it's not this forum that will decide what you will like so just enjoy it.
