  1. I'm not sure how long ago it occurred but a few weeks ago I finally decided I would try to overclock my graphics card and previously I had never even looked at the GPU in any program, like GPU-Z. I just had it running without any software to monitor it. However I downloaded Afterburner and when opening the program while playing GTA V I noticed I was running at 95 degrees on stock SC clocks. I tried to force the fans to 100% in the program but my fans read 0 RPM at all times and upon looking in my case, they were not spinning at all. GPU-Z would be downloaded later also to report 0 RPM no matter what I tried to push the fan speeds to. So, naturally I assumed the fans may have unplugged, so I took apart the GPU, however they were plugged in, very well at that. I re-seated the plug and put it back together, and tried it on a different PCI-E lane to see if maybe that was the problem, but it wasn't. The fans on the card don't even spin upon the computer turning on anymore as they used to, and should. I have not been able to test the fans on a motherboard fan pin because I cannot get out the plug for the illuminated EVGA light on the top of the GPU, it seems stuck in there. And as stated it seemed to be completely random as when I bought the card, they worked fine. What could have led to this and should I continue to try and get out the plug for the lights on the GPU to test it in a motherboard fan pin?
  2. Why is my i5-3450s worse than my AMD FX-8350 in gaming performance? My mind has been trying to accept this for days.

Did you overclock the FX-8350 by chance?

The FX 8350 has worse single core performance, but more cores. Depending on the game; that might be better or worse. But just to double check, you could look at CPU (and GPU) usage in games; if the i5 is hitting 100% all the time for example, that could be the problem.

@imreloadin, I have never, the motherboard I currently have cannot handle the OC.

@Minibois, I'll have to reinstall it and see what's going on. Oddly enough, when I had swapped BACK to my 8350, after putting the 3450s in it, the AMD performed horribly until resetting my PC. Maybe the 3450s was having the same issue when I first swapped it in?
