  1. You know from the amount of force it took me to remove a psu cable, the clip probably doesn't matter. Should I use wire/plastic cutters?
  2. Can I just take some sc-fi tech and make the clip phase through the cap?
  3. I have a dual cpu mob that i'm doing a build with, but there is a capacitor right next to one of the cpu power connectors. Right before the clip goes all the way on it is blocked by the capacitor, maybe 1mm away. My mob is the Intel s5520hc and the power supply is an 850w EVGA gold. Should I try to force it in? The cpu cable I have is split into two pieces(two 4 by 4 connectors) and has the clips widened about double the normal width. Unfortunately I can't take pictures at the moment and I couldn't find any for the cable, but here is the motherboard:
  4. Hmm I can get it for 150$ on ebay each . I'll just try the Hyper 212 Evo.
  5. Sorry about the second part of my comment, I was a bit salty(and tired). Thanks though, this really helps.
  6. When installing steam, did you install on the ssd or the hard drive? Because any games you install will be in Steam's folder. If you installed Steam on the ssd then it makes sense that you are running out of storage because the total game capacity is being limited by the 240gb of storage. The data won't just magically transfer over to the other drive.
  7. For standard motherboards, that is true. The motherboard I have is obviously NOT STANDARD. I've already bought a couple a coolers and they didn't fit. Looking at standard lga1366 motherboards you will see that the mounting holes are DIFFERENT. Jurrunio, if you aren't even looking at the pictures provided or reading the entire topic why are you commenting? Your answers are useless(view topic RAM Clip Help)
  8. I'm doing a new build with dual nehalems but the motherboard i've got appears to have non-standard cpu cooler holes. The cpu backplate goes over the holes and seems to reduce the size of them. The motherboard is Intel's s5520hc. Can I just use a standard cpu cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo with this? Looking at the front of the motherboard the backplate sort of protrudes out from the holes, like the holes are extended. It is about 3mm.
  9. This appears to be a bottleneck...The biggest bottleneck I have ever seen in fact. Looking at the picture you have of gta it appears that you have all of your settings turned to the lowest. With 90 fps I would think that it is a cpu bottleneck as gta is very cpu intensive for certain builds, a 1080ti would get far more fps on a non-bottlenecked build. That is the framerate I would expect your cpu to be limited at, however, even at the lowest settings that gpu usage seems way too low. To test if it really is a cpu bottleneck try lowering the cpu clock speed(making sure you know what you are doing). If the framerate lowers when the clock speed is lowered then it is a cpu bottleneck, if not it is something else that is bottlenecking your system or the drivers are somehow conflicting with the game(it was made in 2014)
  10. I would say it has a somewhat high chance to be a scam. Even if I knew this wasn't a scam I still wouldn't get it. I would look for a different deal(such as a gtx 770-780ti)
  11. I would absolutely not get this. 224 of them were sold and there is 100% user feedback; that does not happen with any legitimate listing i've seen. They are obviously paid reviews/feedback. Besides, if this actually is an rx 460 then the performance you will get out of it will be SEVERELY limited because of that horrible cooler.
  12. Wait...I thought they were irremovable...I tried looking for a guide for that but I couldn't find one. How do remove them if you don't mind me asking?
  13. It would be easiest if I could just clip the ram clip off, i'm only installing four dimms and am very likely not going to upgrade the ram. I just wanna know if the clip will sort of shatter in any way or if it'll be a clean cut(probably should've put that in the first question)
  14. Can't, the case i've got doesn't support any pci-e risers or extensions, unfortunately. Really annoying actually because i've got a few lying around.
  15. The motherboard is an SSI EEB(eatx) form factor board with 2 lga1366 sockets. It has 12 ram slots in an orientation perpendicular to the modern ram slots.
