  1. Yeah I suspect the points do vary, but it sounds like the latest gen ryzen is light years ahead anyhow
  2. That sounds like a solid upgrade then. I kinda think along the same lines on temps... That around ~70 C is the upper end of the sweet spot for running silicon 24/7, but I don't have any factual basis for that.
  3. Hey guys. Does anybody have any numbers on what the latest ryzen chips achieve for world community grid? My current i7 3770 does roughly 30k points per day, and I’m thinking of upgrading. I’m guessing gen 3 ryzen would blow that ‘out if the water’.
  4. Seems I’m about 12 hours too late. Not going to stop me though... Good work team!
  5. Yeah the 2080 Ti has a different variant again, ~50% larger again than the 2080.
  6. I'm not sure if that's quite right... Afaik, a 2070s runs a TU104, same as a 2080, while a 2070 runs a TU106 (I think smaller die, less cuda?), and a 2080s still runs the 104 but with a handful more cuda cores (and maybe a higher tune?). Also, I think all the mid to upper end Turing cards had GDDR6 from launch. I'm sure @Gorgon would be able to answer this definitively.
  7. One of Dr Bowman's latest posts... Apologies if anyone has already posted this, as this thread moves so damn fast!
  8. With the mining chassis, how do connect all your cards? Because you need at least pci-e 4x right? Is it possible to split multiple cards to single pci-e 16x slots?
  9. https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ^Just search for your folding name in the user search box, and your detailed stats will be there.
  10. I know the feeling... I've recently upgraded my card, which should be netting me double my previous output, but due to the inconsistent supply of WU's my output hasn't really changed.
  11. The production numbers by our top producers are impressive, but it's the midrange figures that truly blow me away. For instance.. Over 5,000 members producing over 50k ppd, and nearly 6,400 producing over 100k ppd. Mental!!
  12. Do you think there's any longevity difference between a card running at say 70 degs, and one running at 80?
  13. 2070s, stock, at between 63-68 deg C, depending on the WU (it's Autumn here).
  14. On stock clocks I'm getting between 1.55 mil and 1.8 mil (usually north of 1.6) on windows, depending on the WU. Using on average about 210 w.
  15. What sort of GPU temps do you get with that configuration? Those are 2.7 slot cards right?
  16. That sounds like it's to do with the quick return bonus maybe? PPD drops away rapidly the longer the WU takes to complete. I used to pause my WU's while playing BFV, and every time I restarted them they were down ~30% ppd Until the next WU, where it returned to normal as the WU was again being completed in the normal length of time. EDIT : Just realised I was stating the obvious... *sits back down*
  17. Yeah I think those who can sit next to their gear all day, pausing/re-starting slots and re-starting the client etc... will do the best. That seems to be the best strategy right now. Having said that, it's bloody wonderful that the project is getting so much attention and fire power.
  18. I'm not sure what others are experiencing, but my WU situation has deteriorated over the last 24 hrs or so, after 2-3 days of reasonably consistent supply. Could it be AWS sucking up all the new supply of WU's?
  19. I started folding with a 3570K and an HD-7870. Persisted with that for 5 months until upgrading.
  20. Hardware question... I've always used cpu air coolers. How do decent quality AIO cpu coolers handle 24/7 running on folding machines (constant pump running)? Do they last okay? I see the corsair ones have a five year warranty.
  21. I think it’s to do with the atom count of each WU. On the lower ones my 2070s sits around 64 degs at ~91% utilisation. On the higher atom WU’s it’s at about 68-69 degs ~97-98% utilisation. Perhaps you’ve been getting a run of higher atom count WU’s
  22. Just keep an eye out for the next week or so, as the WU supply/demand will most likely level out.
