Multiple people here have said that it's based on Unix now, which it's not. Linux uses no Unix code. Linux is Unix-like, meaning that it tries to imitate it.

I like how the user interaction with Gnome 3 works. There are other things about it that's making me consider other DEs. There's not really a way to set the refresh rate and make it persistent. I have to set it at each boot or make a script that does this for me. I've looked into this and it seems that the devs don't know how to implement this properly, making me worry that the Gnome 3 devs may be a bit incompetent.

Linux is not Unix.

I used Gnome when I used OpenSUSE and I enjoyed the experience. I get the impression the KDE has better devs behind it, though. One reason for this is the the Gnome devs are having some trouble getting the refresh rate settings to work, unlike KDE.

Having fun with Arch and actually finding the os interesting. I wonder why I ever bothered with the clunkiness of windows as my main os. Sadly, I have to use it if I want to play certain games. I'll get to install arch again this weekend. Hopefully I'll get it right on the first try this time. I'm going to skip some stuff this time to make it lighter.
