  1. Hi everyone; I live in the UK and I've ordered a pair of these and I'm really excited about them but I'm worried about the step up from 110V in US to 240V in UK. I have only found this on Simple Audio's website "AC adapter with interchangeable power cord. 12V DC input via barrel connector” and I don't really know what it means. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience in this area? It would be so so appreciated - thanks
  2. Although I haven't been on here for long, I really do appreciate all the advice that people on the forum and the channel have given me and they've let me find a great new experience in my life. Every morning when I find an email from Youtube concerning the channel I always watch it instantly as they really are the best tech videos on Youtube, run by even better people. Thank you and please keep up the good work!
  3. OMG the skin looks so great, love the fist punch logo - the battery life on the Z2 looks amazing!
  4. Hi Guys, My brother is looking to buy a pair of headphones for about £200-£300 ($350-$450) and listens to a lot of folk rock, psychedelic rock (things from the late 60's) and therefore needs a pair that deal with the whole frequency range, specifically higher pitches. Any recommendations (preferably with links)? He's just running these from basic audio devices like his Macbook or Nexus 5 so no DAC or AMP (sadly) Thanks, cjsun9
  5. Is this the amp you mean? http://www.jdslabs.com/products/35/objective2-headphone-amplifier/
  6. Hi All, I'm planning on building a new computer relatively soon and I had an audio-based solution: should I get a sound card or a headphones amp for better quality audio? I have Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones (and am planning on buying Sennheiser HD8 DJ - any thoughts on best headphones for $400?) and I would be choosing between the AudioEngine D1 (http://www.amazon.com/Audioengine-D1-24-bit-Digital-to-Analog-Converter/dp/B006IPH5H2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1400138226&sr=8-3-fkmr0&keywords=audiotechnica+d1 - $170) or a sound card of roughly the same price, although I have on idea which one to get so some advice there would also be great, I mainly use my computer for bass heavy house music or gaming and almost always with good quality headphones. Thanks a lot, cjsun9
  7. Hi All, I live in the UK and I often find that it's a real bummer that often really good retailers just don't exist here, for example NCIX. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone else (in the UK or not) knew any good websites from which to buy key computer parts at not a ridiculous price. The main ones I've found are Amazon and Overclockers UK, both great websites, obviously, but OCUK is often quite expensive and most of the time both of them don't have much stock of the parts that people actually want to buy. Does anyone know any other good computer parts sellers in the UK (hopefully online)? Thanks a bunch in advance, cjsun9
  8. What software did you use to make those 3D models in the "planning" section? thanks
  9. Dear all, I've finally got enough money to build a computer that I feel reaches my wanted standards: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/cjsun9/saved/4sbn. It will be used mostly for gaming but is also intended just as an enthusiast build and so I'm hoping to get some great raw performance out of it. I was just wondering if there were any improvements/trade-offs/additions/removals that would make the build better, even if it requires spending a bit more money, I'd rather do that if the performance is worth it. Thanks so much, cjsun9 PS: Any ideas about peripherals for gaming, specifically: monitor (24" or 27"?), keyboard and mouse?
  10. I love the all-metal body construction <3
  11. Hi Everyone, I'm building a new ATX rig for gaming and I'm not sure which graphics card to buy but I've come down to either the 760 or 780. This is the current rig, so that you know what the conditions it would be running in are: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/cjsun9/saved/4hOk . I really really like the green on the side of the GTX 780 and so have even started to consider the 680 just to have this, as ridiculous as it may seem! Obviously, money exists and so I can't quad-way SLI 780s but future expandability is an option and so I'd love some feedback about dual way SLI-ing 760s against just one 780. Thanks a lot, cjsun9 (any changes to the parts guide to optimize it for gaming mainly but also future expandability (when I have some more money to spend!) are also very very welcome)
  12. Thanks a lot for the list; really helpful.
  13. Thanks everyone, it looks like that's what I'll do then: buy it and upgrade it. One question: Should I do 2x EVGA Geforce GTX 760 SC or 1x EVGA Geforce GTX 780 ??? Thanks, cjsun9
  14. Hi Everyone, I've got a bit of a financial dilemma concerning computers and I was confident that you'd be able to help! So, I have a friend who is soon going to university in another country and so is buying, as you do, the new Mac Pro. He currently has a Hackintosh and is offering it to sell it to me for $665 / £400; here's the part's list: CPU Intel i7 3820 MoBo ASUS Rampage 4 Extreme BF3 Edition GPU EVGA GTX580 HC RAM Corsair Vengeance 16GB HDD Corsair F180 PSU Corsair HX1050 Case: Custom built w/ window, worth about $150 Cooling 2x XSPC RX360s XSPC Rasa 2x Laing D5 12x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850rpm OR I could build my own. This is, obviously, much more expensive and slightly less amazing currently, but would be more fun, easier to upgrade and more modern. This is the parts list on pc part picker: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3n83o coming to around $2500. Any advice on either upgrading either build or just which one I should get would be extremely appreciated, Thanks a lot, cjsun9
