Z-Stern's Achievements

  1. 3rd year physics student here: I got the surface pro 3 (i5/256GB) about two weeks ago, I needed something that would run applications like wolfram mathematica, matlab and visual studio. I also wanted it to run photoshop (I like to draw). Best purchase ever… I don’t think I will be using it to take notes though : paper feels better for long lectures, you can write smaller, faster and will be able to have more than one sheet of paper visible all the time. My opinion: if you just want it to take notes and some light coding: go for a cheaper option a surface is overkill, if you just want to code on it: stick with your notebook or try buying a small laptop.
  2. Vessel username : Fenx https://www.vessel.com/videos/Su_Wqd7Vl https://www.vessel.com/videos/Yj4PbcgKj PS : I was getting tired of youtube anyway PS2: Like I have a chance to win haha.... PS3: It would be so fun if I actually won something
  3. Congratulations for your first million, we all hope the second will come soon. I Found this channel when I was looking for an lga 1366 overclocking guide (don’t ask how), and I have learnt a lot since then, thank you!
  4. Thank you, I hadn’t heard of it before. I don’t visit that many review sites, so it helps a lot.

Have you considered using Velcro ? Just attaching the pc to the back/top of the tv and connecting everything with cables that will be hidden? Because the other solutions I think of are to: Buy and all in one pc you can attach to the wall Do the thing with wireless HDMI transmitters that SlayerOfHellWyrm proposed Buy another media pc you can put at the back of the tv and stream from one pc to another via your router Bear the sight of the cables
  6. Good point. Didn’t consider that And for around 80% of its value it’s an interesting option (I’m also a student in the EU, how do you get those reductions?)
  7. I would be willing to pay a premium for better build quality and have lesser performance per dollar, I really do like their products, I am just saying that that premium is too much for the high-end stuff they sell, and unless you have particular reasons (i.e.: all your coworkers have apple products and you want to have maximum compatibility, or something like that) I don’t see what kind of public they are targeting with a 2000 dollar notebook that doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card. If they lowered their prices to a more competitive level (I am not saying they have to be cheap, just less expensive) I think I would buy one… Opinions?
  8. I don’t get it… The first two 13 inch products are in the expensive side, but I can understand someone buying them, the others in the other hand are plainly overpriced… it’s a shame: mac have their advantages (build quality and they work out of the box) but those prices are just not justified .

you mean like a media pc ? http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/161979-zotac-zbox-en760-epic-gaming-mini-pc/
  10. Should be ok… I can’t say much more as I don’t possess a Wide monitor, but if you want to have an idea what it looks like , take the dimensions of the monitor and tape together some paper until you have a ‘’paper screen’’ you can move around your desk
  11. I would not say it fits well, but you can use the smaller one as a secondary screen to have static text, mail and that type of stuff. Sorry, I have the same doubt, if it has a Display Port 1.2a it should, but I couldn’t find any clue of what version of display port the LG 29UM65 has DX
  12. Nah, I will keep waiting until they reach what TN is worth now… I was just wondering if someone had read any news/rumors about it.
  13. I was wondering, many people want a 4K display but also want good viewing angles and color reproduction, so why there is nothing like that available yet, I mean, the blade 14 has a 4K IPS panel….
  14. Anyone else in France?
