  1. yeah, but it's his phone that daily carries, I was hoping on that.
  2. humm, but it worked perfectly fine until 2 months ago Anyway, it's not fair that i have to pay full price for a malfuncition not caused by me, ad you can see the phone is in good conditions.
  3. So, 2 years ago a bought a note 9 following a positive review of Linus. I'm not super rich so it was quite the investment for me and i was planning to use it also as a mini-pc doking it to nextdek o something similar. Two months ago i was using the phone than the screen suddently went green, I was surfing facebook doing nothing unusual, than started to get hotter and hotter (it burned my hand where it was in concact with the metal strip), so hot I was in panic because i was seriusly considering it was gonna explode. I looked online to have some insights and... it's a common bug of the Note9, the screen will freeze green if you do not tap to wake it before unlocking it and also it'll became slower and hotter. No one knows the real problem, someone says that was a bugged software update did by Samsung to cause this brick, someone else says that is a problem of the Exinos used in the european version of the Note 9 where the bug is more common. The only things everybody suggest is that you have to replace your screen (I do not really understand this, the screen works just fine when it's not bugged), that is not something covered by the warranty because Samsung does not consider this beaviour of the phone to be their fault, so you have to pay 250 euros for new screen that is not sure it will last because no one really know what the problem is. I would love to see a video of linus about this, i always see his old note 9 in his hands when he does some videos so i know he is someone that cares about it and i think there is a lot to uncover on it, also because the Samsung replacement politic was very s****y If you have some question to ask on the topic i'll gladly respond if i can. If you have some solution you will make me very happy (i replaced the note 9 with a PocoM3 and I'm not very happy rn) VID-20210727-WA0008.mp4

  5. So, i need a new full tower case but my budget is around 180 euros. The problem is that there is not a real specification about the full tower class, for example i was purchasing the Lian Li PC-O11 (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Hwkj4D/lian-li-pc-o11dx-atx-full-tower-case-pc-o11dx) because was listed ad full tower, only to discover that it has only a 60l capacity. Now i was considering the thermaltake core x71 (https://www.amazon.it/Thermaltake-Core-Tempered-Glass-Case/dp/B01MXKJNDO/ref=psdc_460082031_t2_B00YJJBFIO?th=1), but it's really humongous. What i need is something that features: Dimensions greater than 500mm x 250 x 500 but not over 600x300x600 Full of easy removable dust filters (magnetic would be top notch) Compatible with E-ATXs A glass side panel (but it's optional...) Have you any suggestion?
  6. ok I did it, but without restarting the pc because i'm pretty lazy and i don't want to change the DVI port :D, now what you think i should do? I was thinking I cound download the new drivers again and restart the pc what's a reflash?
  7. humm no, I simply downloaded the newest ones
  8. Long story short 2 weeks ago I was playing some Magic Arena and suddenly my screen froze, then went black... but i could ear the game was still going in the background. So thought the problem what in the gpu, so i removed it, cleaned it to see if the problem was some dust accumulated in the years, but i was doubtfull because temperatures were not really high. With my surprise that worked... at least for some time. Today, i was again playing magic arena and... same story. Restarted the pc and tryed to install now drivers for the gpu... froze again. so Cleaned it again, changed the termal paste, but nothing worked then I changed the pci slot were the gpu it's installed, worried that the first slot was bended over the years. Started windows with some stuttering and this message appeared... Strange enough after this message windows is running "smoothly", probably because changed the graphic to integrated (but i'm still using the DVI on the gpu) My gpu is a GTX 780
  9. I have an old LG G4 that died and wanted to do something with his screen. Is there a way to utilize it as a mini display fot the pc or something like that using and eDP controller? Or can you do a project/video with some ideas on how recycle good screens from old phones?
  10. cause the case is quite ugly and i have not a lot of space the phantex one is quite good, but requires a second ITX mobo, and I would have been used a Micro ATX one. The corsair one is indeed hella costy
  11. So, I want to build a new pc, but I dont want to totally dismiss the old setup, because I can use it as a second support machine like for streaming. So, now i'm searching for a case that has enough space to mount a second motherboard. I have seen on LTT that there are cases so big that could fil two MB in the same spot, but I was thinking to mount them one in the left cavity (the mainstream one, I don't know the exact term) and one in its rear. Do you know some solution for that?
  12. I did not overclock because I'm stuck with the original CPU fan, so to overclock I've to options -Do not change the fan and try the deliding, meaning that i have to spend at least 25$ and risk the life of my only CPU -Change the cooling system, and that cost at least 40$ Money I have to spend without knowing the possible gains. Then i found, from a chinese seller, a XEON E3 1290 for 115$ I compared the results and the XEON seems pretty good, and in the end i will have 2 cpu for a possible iper budget rig https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-Xeon-E3-1290-V2-vs-Intel-i5-3570K/1774vs828
