  1. Is there an option in the OSD to change the display scaling? The 4:3 to 16:9 non-linear stretch is an old TV technique for "fixing" aspect ratios, and was a TV setting not a source setting.
  2. First off, that's an ancient HBA. LSI 2000-series or 3000-series are usually just as cheap and a lot newer. If it's not appearing anywhere (check using lspci in TrueNAS), it's probably dead.
  3. What matters is the quality of the DAC (digital to analog converter), not the means of transport. Given the DAC in these speakers seems to have issues with sound normalization (dynamically dropping the volume to prevent overdriving on loud sounds), and the DACs in PCs are plenty serviceable (and have been for years, despite what audiophiles say), I would continue to use them with the stereo cable.

    DO NOT RESIST
  5. If your internet is 120Mbps, you're never going to download from the internet at more than ~10MBps (b = bit, B = byte) no matter how good your Ethernet is.
  6. What is your internet speed?
  7. Mbps MBps Mind your bits and Bytes. Numbers are in line for that difference.

Also found in the changelog for the relevant KB: Keep it up, Netherlands. I expect you all to reclaim all of Doggerland by 2100.
  9. Here I was thinking I was slowly corrupting Windows 10 installs... my address bars in Explorer are getting skinnier...

Turns out I'm not crazy and Microsoft is doing a thing again...

This update affects the Netherlands time zone. It adds the recent man-made landmass outside of Rotterdam to the shape files.

Oh so that wasn't a dream, oops:

I have the "oh, you didn't go to class all semester and the final is today" dream at least once every other month. I have been out of school almost a decade now.
  11. Should go in these holes: That said, there may not be room in that case for it as it doesn't look to have been designed for radiators up top.
  12. You can get a 5TB tier for GDrive after you purchase the 2TB tier (it's not advertised otherwise). (you can also go to 10TB or 20TB, but those are only billed monthly) TBH, I'm not super familiar with the desktop experience for GDrive as I use Rclone to back things up to it.
  13. Did you read what the box says? It explains the behavior right there.
  14. Did you click the little question mark next to the box?
  15. Use CrystalDiskInfo. Those numbers look like incorrectly-parsed garbage.
  16. Do you prefer the in-ear type or the "on-ear" type (I don't know what they're actually called, but like the old iPod ones that don't seal and hang from your ear)?
  17. I don't see the X540 in your device list, so it's either dead or connected to a slot that's dead.
  18. Try ip a, no dash (stupid Windows conventions). Also lspci (but that will probably be a long output, look for your 10G NIC).

I imagine so... it's probably been in a box for a decade
  20. Right, CORE not SCALE... try ifconfig.

MY MOM HAS THIS EXACT ONE!
  22. Have you been rebooting the NAS? IIRC TrueNAS doesn't like changing addresses at random and will only request one on boot.
  23. What are you trying to host? Where are you trying to host it (remotely or locally)?
