  1. Thanks dude! Thought I had broke my SSD, haha.
  2. Hello, So my main computer needed a RMA on a part and I've since moved everything into my old computer so I can still work, but I've since ran into a problem where windows is unable to create a partition onto one of my SSD's, it just says "Unable to format drive" I've attached images to give better detail into the problem. If anyone could give advice here it would be great! 3. Depends really, the temps aren't that high on the cards as far as I know they never go above 79c which isn't bad at all. If your that concerned and want more information you could search up benchmarks on the card and see the temps.
  4. Use a Monitoring tool and check out your temps then post them. Evga Precision or MSI Afterburner are free and work well.
  5. UPDATE: I emailed Asus and they said to call the company I brought it from and get a replacement, sadly they dont stock them anymore so I'm getting a refund and will have to buy a new one. Thanks for the help!
  6. There is one think I'd like to ask though. Could it be something else, as this problem only happens Sometimes?
  7. Ah right. Thanks for the help I'll look into the RMA and see if it works, I'll give an update if it does!
  8. Ah, I'll look into getting an RMA then. Your 100% sure it could be this though?
  9. When you say GPU dying, do you when possibly a fault with it? If so would I be able to get an RMA as it's still under Warrenty or would I have to buy a new card?
  10. Hello, I've been having issues with Black Screens on my computer for a while now, but sadly as I've had exams I haven't really been able to get time to fix this issue. So this problem first happened when I upgraded from Windows 7 to 8 this was back when I had my AMD build, at first I thought nothing of it as It mostly happened when I Alt-Tabbed from a game or just quit out of a game, I looked around for issues and thought maybe it could be the Motherboard doesn't support Windows 8 so I downgraded back to 7. Sadly this problem still happened and so I thought maybe it's time for some parts to be upgraded, so I went out and brought Intels X99 components and fitted them all in then I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 and happy days! The issue wasn't there anymore. Then a month or so down the line the problem came around again, since I has exams around this time I had no time to fix it and just left the problem as it mostly happened in games. When my exams finished I gave my computer a nice clean out with a fresh new SSD and Windows install, but at the time of cleaning this out I had a problem where my board wouldn't power on at all. I came to the Forum and managed to find a guy who gave me the right advice and it was fixed (Had to reset the CMOS) Since installing all of my Windows stuff and everything it didn't happen much. Then when I updated my Drivers for my graphics card the problem came back as soon as this started happening I reverted my driver back, sadly it carried on so I fresh installed again and still the issue happenes... So the main problem is when I'm playing a game and Alt-tab too many times it will Black Screen my computer. The black screens also happen when I go through menu's fast in games or when I just quit out of a game and go to open a program. My thoughts so far for the problem is, a Program on my PC, My graphics card (GPU is still from my old AMD build) or when I had the problem with the motherboard it messed something up. Thanks to anyone who may have a Solution for me! I'd really love to fix this if I can't I might have to sell the parts off and get a new PC (Don't really want to do that)
  11. You have a point, but I do think these cases are the closest I've seen to a copy.
  12. Sorry, has been updated with which case is which.
  13. Do you not think they'll ruin the market by doing this?
  14. I've not got much information on this myself, just read through the article and it seemed very instresting and would like to see what peoples views are on whether they are copying other companpies or not. So as it seems by these pictures, Thermaltakes cases are Very similar to other case companies. They also seem to have other products which show alot of similarity. Though that's up for you to decide. (All images below are from Overclock3D) Caselabs is on the left while Thermaltake is on the right Fractal's case is on the left while Thermaltakes is on the right You can read the full thread here - http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/thermaltake_designs_at_computex_2015_look_familiar/1 Or watch a video dicussing this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=480&v=9ObeBvWrwRk Also, don't hate for this! Just asking for the LinusTechTips forums opinion
