  1. Here's a question, anyone familiar with the Naim DAC-V1? Been demoing it at a retail store for hours on end and I'm in love. The bass on my LCD-2's never felt so deep or strong. The highs are so defined and the detail... omg... now about the price tag... just wondering if anyone else was considering one and found something similar? I have owned the schit Lyr 3 for a week before returning that lifeless ear piercing death amp then I went to a Deckard to hold me over but I can't get over the Naim... only thing else I am in love with is the Mcintosh mha100 and that's $2800 used on a good day...
  2. I use my LCD-2's and a blue mic... for my Dac I run a Deckard (don't ever buy one it sucks). But all that's $2000 so maybe not a good recommendation lol still after playing with magnetic planner headphones I can't ever go back there's just no way. Its like losing your V card. On the other hand i always see these reviews for the best headphones on pc sites and half the time I've listened to them and wonder what we're they thinking. As crazy as this may sound for your budget have you considered a pair of IEMs? Also as mentioned you don't need a dac for that lol it's like spraying Febreze on a pile of shit on your livingroom floor and assuming the smell will go away.
  3. Also if you use the Aio as a intake ur going to nuke that GPU, if u use the aio as a exhaust ur going to throttle the CPU. That case is a no win situation.
  4. Wait ssd? No nvme? That AIO has the worst fans on the planet you will want them swapped for anything else, seriously I have it... also that case is a thermal nightmare...
  5. I have the Acer XR382CQK it's a LG IPS panel 38" curved running at 3860x1600 75Hz display. It's also the same panel that's in a Dell and a LG monitor but only the Acer is factory overclocked to 75Hz. The screen is beautiful, I greatly enjoy gaming on her and I came from a Samsung quantum dot so that's saying something. Granted it's a higher resolution then you are looking for and not a gsync however it looked way better side by side compared to the x34 and nearly every other high end ultra wide. If you live near a microcenter (it's where I went to compare) you can pretty much see them all side by side
  6. Hey everyone it's been a long time since I've needed to come to a forum for some help but I'm a little over my head on this one! I have a decent PC that I plan to upgrade in the coming weeks (i7700k @5.2 delid, asus z270 strix, 16gb ram, 1080ti OC and a bunch of storage) I move a lot of data around in the form of pics and video for instance my god awful camera folder from years of cell pics and my a6600 has 38k pics just thrown in it (4tb drive). I have another 4tb storage drive with videos just crammed that I use for plex. Another drive is my dump drive that I download or sort on to get moved to the plex server drive. My OS is on nvme. My issue is accessing these drives and moving data is a pain in my rear! Usually I can move a 10gb file from storage to plex drive at 100mbs but now if I am playing in my pic drive sorting my pics while I transfer from the storage drive to my plex drive my system starts becoming less responsive to the point where "my computer" wont even open. Oh and that data transfer is now at 12mbs! Basically my pc becomes a snail. Let me point out that I'm not hitting any drives with multiple tasks. Seams like the motherboard chipsets can't handle that much storage access at once? Like what's going on here? And more importantly how do I get better storage performance? X299? Threadripper? Like where do I need to be here because I'm not a fan of powerpoint! Thanks for your time I know it was a long post and I hope I explained it well enough
