Learned a little about DVI to VGA adapters (by buying one, it not working, then finding out this kind of adapter cant carry an analog signal however)..

 

So why is there a DVI to VGA adapter that wont carry analog signal?  Was this on purpose for fools like me?  LOL...$3 bucks and time waiting wasted...guess Ill buy that more expensive one that will DP to VGA lol.

    I feel like passive DVI-D to VGA adapters are just there to scam people, as I don't think it would even work for physical adoption purposes.

    @Minibois so I failed to do my research and got that 24+1 DVI to VGA (for an old monitor with my R9 Fury) plugged it in like...wut?  So after reading up and whatnot...I cant see why this is a thing LOL.  Other than the bulk materials need to make money somehow on people like me LOL.  I should have known there was a reason it was so cheap and shouldn't have read so quickly about why there was even a 24+1 DVI.
