  1. Hello there, I am trying to undervolt my CPU (i just want same performance but less heat, due to my smaller case and fan). How exactly do I undervolt in the Asus BIOS? I went into advanced mode and under AI Tweaker, but I am not sure what I am supposed to change. There is an option to change from auto to manual, adaptive, and some other option. I can't find any option that says "CPU Core voltage offset," or "CPU core voltage" that I can edit. it's just this one option that changes it from manual, adaptive and the other one. I was using Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility, but that really only works for laptops. Plus every time the PC restarts, you have to set voltage again. However, I was putting a voltage offset of -0.100v, and I was stable after stress testing. How do I go about putting a -0.100v on the ASUS Bios? thanks!
  2. Yea. Max is usually 72. Haven't seen higher. Alright, just wanted to double check. Thanks!
  3. Hello there! So I have just built my new SFF computer. Here's a link to the pcpartpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/analpowder/saved/tNFr7P If you can't click on the case link, here it is: https://www.louqe.com/ I want to know if these are good temps and if I should turn down the RPM when reaching my max temps to minimize noise. Basically, I am running the Noctua L12 with a 9600k (stock). However, due to this case's size, I can only have the 90-92mm fan. I am currently sitting at 38-39*C when idling, when I do some light stuff (chrome+discord+spotify, for example) I sit at around 43-45*C. Now GTAV puts me at 65*C ish, and Dota 2 is at around the same, about 65*C+... Max temps I've seen have been 72*C. I was just wondering if these are good temps. When at the 70*C temps, the fan is spinning at around 1600rpm. It can get loud at that point. Also, I am getting custom sleeved cables for the PSU, which should open more room for air at the bottom of the case. The SF600 cables are kind of squished all together at the bottom of the case, which im sure might improve temps by 5* It aint that much. Thanks!
  4. FIXED!!! Literally turning off the CPU Fan Error fixed it. I had to disable the BIOS from checking if it was on.
  5. I'll check it out. I'll check if there's a BBS order. I am running the Windows Boot Manager on my 1TB SSD, and it does say that it detects the Windows Boots Manager, and like previously mentioned is #1 in priority. I'll check that out.
  6. Windows Boot Manager is already #1 in boot priority. Hasn't solved it. I set my boot device in the UEFI ASUS BIOS to the forth mentioned Windows Boot Manager. I've tried all of these. With regards to settings, everything is just as it used to be. There is a CPU fan error, but that's due to my Corsair H100i GTX pump. It has always had that, but it would boot up just fine prior to the BIOS update. Is there a way to maybe disable that error, since that could be preventing the system from auto booting to Windows Boot Manager?
  7. Hello there! I decided to update my ASUS motherboard's BIOS to the latest non-beta version. I updated it through the BIOS (using a USB and the .cap file). After it updated, it did the normal thing of showing the American Megatrends screen. However, once I restarted the PC to turn it on like I usually would, I ended up at the American Megatrends screen... again. And again. And again. It would never got to the Windows loading screen (or boot up from the Windows Boot Manager, which is set to #1 priority on the boot menu). Now, everytime I want to use my computer, I have to press F1 (to get out of the megatrends screen), go into my boot menu, and manually click on the "Windows Boot Manager" to boot up into Windows. I was reading this is due to the UEFI Asus BIOS update messing up with the Windows Boot Manager? I tried using the Windows Startup Repair tool, however, that found "no problems," and did nothing. Any ideas to what I can do. Of course, reinstalling a fresh copy of windows to fix this would not be the best option hahaha TL:DR - I turn on my PC, goes into American Megatrends screen (always), and I have to manually tell it to boot up from Windows Boot Manager. Thanks for the help!
  8. Nah. The installer doesn't even open. Just a pop up with a message. Pretty sure it's related to that installation bug some people have mentioned on the Asus' forums. Thanks though.
  9. Hey there! I ran into a problem while installing the AI3 suite (Asus' fan xpert + other stuff utility). I looked up online for a solution, found out about the "ai3 cleaner.exe," however it seems like the link to download the file is ... dead. Anyone here have any idea how to uninstall (besides control panel), and reinstall ai3 suite? Mainly it'll help to get that cleaner.exe from Asus. Or if any of you magically have it ^.^/ Anyhow, thanks!
  10. Oh, yea. The ASUS motherboard I have has 3 options in the advanced menu for USB settings. There was the legacy which I kept on, the xhci hands-off, and the Intel 3.0 thing (which is called something else). I turned the last 2 off (disabled) and after I did that everything worked in safe mode. Then I went back to normal mode with those 2 still disabled and everything works just fine too. However, I am not sure if I should at least try to turn on the intel 3.0 usb thing since it might help USB 3.0 devices connected to those ports.
  11. No, I was using the blue 3.0. It works now. i am booted into Windows just fine. I am not sure if I should turn on the intel thing in the usb settings in the bios though.
  12. Yeah, booted into safe mode. Can't use mouse or keyboard to log in to safe mode desktop. Edit - I disabled the xhci hands off and the intel 3.0 usb thing inside the bios. I disabled both and kept the legacy option on. Both mouse and keyboard work just fine now. Entered into safe mode. Running scan now.
  13. Alright. Also, no, I don't have any other peripherals to try to work around it. It's just these 2 wired USB ones.
  14. Hey there, I need help solving this weird issue. I cannot use my mouse or keyboard. When I start up my PC they turn on, they will work on the BIOS too, however, they will not turn on when I get to the Windows log in screen (windows 10). I have a Ducky wired keyboard and a Mionix wired mouse. I did a clean install about 2 days ago of Windows 10, but I was running windows 10 before on the same PC (mobo and all) so I am not sure what happened. Thanks!
  15. It's a wired keyboard and mouse. I've used them before with this PC and motherboard. Now they don't turn on when Windows log in screen appears. They will work for BIOS and main startup though. It's a Ducky keyboard and a Mionix mouse.
  16. Hey there, writing this fromy phone so excuse any mistakes. I cannot use my PC since the mouse and keyboard are not being recognized at boot up. They will both turn on when the PC first starts, and I can go into the BIOS just fine and move around and do stuff. However, when I let it go to the Windows 10 log in screen they won't turn on. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? I did a clean install about 2 days ago and everything worked fine. Installed new drivers and updates. Thanks!
  17. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I got my 1TB samsung SSD today. The Data Migration Samsung software can only transfer from the C:/ drive (or where the OS may be) to another disk. However, I don't want to do that. I want to transfer my storage drive (HDD 2TB WD) to a 1TB SSD. The OS is already on a 500GB SSD. Is there any other program? Legacy99 mentioned Macrimum reflect. JayzTwoCents used Acronis (however that program isn't free) EDIT - Also found this http://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?p=119 but I am not sure if this WD Acronis will do the exact same thing as the Samsung one where it will only transfer from a drive with an OS on it. Again, not what I want if that's the case.
  18. Nice! Thanks, I appreciate it.
  19. Nice! We made it! I bought a Samsung Evo 850. Free software? Nice. Nice. As long as Steam doesn't scream at me "YO! REINSTALL GAMES!" Then I am all good. Samsung magician? Data Migration? Not sure which one to get...
  20. Hey guys, My hdd is sadly starting to fail. It's getting to that point where it makes an awful noise. So, I decided to get a 1TB SSD to replace it. How exactly can I go about smoothly transferring all of my data (games and other files) to the SSD from the HDD with out the PC freaking out and saying that files are missing and Steam going a-wall and freaking out. I was watching a JayzTwoCents video where he uses Acronis True Image... I don't really want to buy a program, but if I have to so beat it... Or... You know.. Other means. Anyone got any tips for this? I have most of my games on my HDD and other files. Most of the files I'll just transfer to an external hard-drive but I would like to just clone the drives and for the computer to run with no issues after the swap. Thanks!
  21. Anything. Whether it's in Chrome, Firefox, Steam, connecting to Teamspeak or Discord. It'll take like a good 3-5 minutes for the internet to actually "start"
