  1. Get the k70. I just bought one (mx browns). Going from a terribly membrane keyboard, this is an absolute godsend. If you need the flashy lights, go for the rgb version. But do you really need it? The strafe kegyboards seem to be the same price, but without the aluminium construction. One thing to consider is that the strafe won't have the dying LEDs problem that the k70 has. But then, i never use the backlight, so it's not a problem for me.
  2. Since you've just installed win10, the drives could still be indexing. Until this is done, searches will take a while. Leave the PC running for a while (30 mins to an hour or so, depending on the speed of your storage), and that might fix it.
  3. You make some good points, and i'll be glad to see an updated server browser in BF5.
  4. thanks, i'll be upgrading then. Microsoft really should've done an FAQ regarding the win10 upgrade. INB4 "they have an FAQ": Well, not a good one...
  5. I've got a Macbook running win8. if i upgrade to win10, that'll change my product key to a win10 key. Trouble is, i don't know for sure that the upgrade will work (my macbook doesn't even officially support win8...). If it doesn't work out, what do i do?
  6. So i've got three monitors. The one to the left has the taskbar vertically, with the start menu on it. I've setup the SM to display two blocks across (see images). Every few hours or so, it resets to just one block width. I have to drag the taskbar to my main monitor, expand the SM, and then drag it back. So yes, it's annoying.
  7. Not going to save you. Can't remember where i found the article, but a number of recent updates added the spying stuff to windows 7 and 8. A quick google should find the article.
  8. Haha yeah, it's probably fake. From what i've read, every phone has released with the 810 v2.1, which is why someone at HTC was laughing at Oneplus when they kept advertising it as the 810 v2.1..
  9. Which is why i'm asking here, because i didn't want to be going off of baseless rumours. I'm glad to know that it won't be a problem, although a sample size of seveb devices... well... I had a quick google, and found very little regarding issues with the P8 or ascend mate 7. Also, if Google decides everything about each Nexus phone, then why does each of them look like other phones from each respective manufacturer?
  10. Was there ever actually a SD810 v2.1? i thought that was just marketing from One Plus I was hoping that it would have the SD820, but then i realised that the Phone releases in October (probably) and the 820 releases next year (probably). And if the LG Nexus 5 has an 808, then wth is this about? Probably fake, unfortunately
  11. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, i like it.
  12. I'm going to start off by saying that i was thrown back to linustechtips.com when i clicked post. That's rather... annoying.... So, with the release of the Huawei Nexus 6 rumoured to be Q4, i've decided to wait, and compare the HN6 with the Motorola nexus 6. I anticipate that the main problem with the HN6 will be it's quality. I've heard talk of problems with other Huawei phones, and i really don't want to see problems with the HN6 in this regard. Yes there were reports of peeling back covers on the MN6, but these reports were few and far between I'd like to hear some thoughts on this. If not, then feel free to discuss both Nexus 6 devices The way i see it, the only advantages that the MN6 will have are: - Price (although, it's still very expensive in Australia, and the HN6 reportedly won't be so expensive) - Size (although, this is also a curse, and at 5.7" the HN6 isn't that much smaller) - It's got character, it's "polarising". Who doesn't love that Pros for the Huawei N6 - SN820 (SD810) - Fingerprint scanner - USB Type C (if you're like me, this is the best feature on a phone!) (reports say that quick charge 2.0 is included) - android m (most likely) - camera (Nexus devices get a lot of flak for this. The huge camera bump gives credence to a better camera - Metal body (mmmm) (wireless charging should still work, http://www.engadget.com/2015/07/28/qualcomms-wireless-charging-tech-now-works-on-metal-phones/ ) - design, looks good to me Cons for the HN6 - reported mediatek wireless chipset: maybe i'm just predisposed towards mediatek, since it isn't used in the Western world. Finally, that camera bump design looks familiar, where have i seen that before?
  13. News: not released yet (didn't want to get your hopes up ) http://phantom.glass/blog/product-update-nexus-6-moto-x-moto-g2-moto-droid-turbo/
  14. If you have access to Linux (making a bootable live usb is easy), try that. I often find that Linux finds drives where Windows can't.
  15. So i used the modified driver. It wouldn't install within dev manager. I ran the setup.exe , and it booted, but it's still showing the Microsoft display adapter. Damn this problem is frustrating..
  16. Okay, i'll do that. two things: EDIT: q1 deleted. 2) the inf file is called nvaowu.inf , whereas that sites says that it should be nvaoi.inf but that shouldn't be a problem EDIT2: So i've edited the file, but i'll need to add windows 10 to the list somehow. I did that by adding another line with NTAMD64.6.4 . Not sure if this'll work, since it's a win8.1 driver...
  17. I just used the hardware id, and yes i know what it is. http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers?dev=08A0⊂=00CE106B&whql=0〈=0&orderby=version&dir=desc&os=
  18. I can do that just fine. Latest is 341.71, which i've already downloaded from NVIDIA and tried. Do i need to use the INF file?
  19. Okay, i'll do that after i uninstall the nvidia driver to get out of this repair loop
  20. Sorry for the late replies I didn't find "320m" or "apple" anywhere on that page I've just tried the latest driver for win10 (supports 320m) and installed in safe mode. Back in an automatic repair loop It's difficult to search for the Macbook white mid 2010, because every search always points to the macbook pro
