  1. Laws were recently passed in that city regarding feeding the homeless without consent of local residents and businesses. Hence he was arrested. Justice and Law are two different things. He wasn't handcuffed or accosted, simply escorted away. The police were only doing their job which were probably passed down the chain of command from the top brass. The real issue is the lawmakers. It is very easy for these cities lawmakers to pass laws without resistance. It's this area that needs to be dealt with, not the symptom but the real issue. Lawmakers. I know it's fun to be professionally angry and a social justic warrior to get views on YT etc. But if you subscribe to outrage all the time, it's really just knee jerk reactions and there is no thought into what the real underlying issue is ... Lawmakers, city ordinances. Nobody showed up to this hearing when they passed the law recently, so nobody can be outraged about it. 10 city council member probably got together, all voted yes, and they fucked off at noon to go play a round of golf on the tax payers dime.
  2. 2K at 27" and above. Coming from your 21.5" 1080p IPS monitor, I doubt you'd be impressed with a 24" 1080p monitor. IPS panel for 60hz and great color reproduction. 144hz TN for gaming. 144hz TN 1440p are expensive I think. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=558_1213&products_id=28308&zenid=8df093a6ef4cef9676c9d3a5267d89c0
  3. You want a CLA in Canada, $50,000 starting. Kia SX $27,000 is the norm and it's a great car. She didn't get 'taken'. http://wwwb.autotrader.ca/cars/mercedes-benz/cla-class/bc/surrey/?prx=100&prv=British+Columbia&loc=v3s1z1&sts=New-Used&hprc=True&wcp=True
  4. Generally war. WW2, Falklands, Korea/Vietnam, Gulf, 6-day, Afghan/Iraq, Drug War etc. My Grandfather flew a Lancaster Bomber in the RCAF during WW2, I have his flight logs, news articles, pictures ... Naturally I look at Canada's role in many of these conflicts, ie, Netherlands. What I learned in High School was much different than my own research when I wasn't following a curriculum. WW2 for example ... I was only taught about it as though it was Canada/USA/England Vs. Germany Nazi's. Fast forward many years and I research it to find out the true scale of everyone involved. I'll research influential people ... Tesla, Steve Jobs, Andy Warhol, Einstein, Caligula ... etc. Generally my 'history research' goes like this ... I'll be on youtube, someone will talk about a period in time ... I goto wikipedia to read about that period of time, I'll get 3 paragraphs in before I click another Wiki link, an hour later I have 30 Wiki tabs open and another 20 youtube pages as I 'research' the topic ... 5 hours later I'm watching cute puppy video's and I finally go do something 'productive' !!!
  5. I added that option !!! I'm looking forward to American Sniper. I loved Lone Survivor, hoping it's another gripping action/war flick.
  6. What movie are you anticipating the most out of these ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utriEZFno0E
  7. Asking for likes, subscribes every video get's into your subconscious and is effective. I know Jeremy Jahns entire wrap up to his video's ... ;If you like what you see here and would like to see more, comment below, let me know,. and as always press right here to subscribe ... than he pretends to punch the screen and a big subscribe button edited into the video pops up. Are we talking about that small red annotation on the bottom right ? If that's what we're talking about, it needs to be implements into the actual video to pop more, or make it bigger, I never noticed it until it was mentioned.
  8. I don't plan on killing cable anytime soon. Cable will eventually come to their senses and charge $1 per channel so I can get the 5 channel I watch instead of having to get 85+ channels just to get the five I like. As well, I have HBO Canada for top quality TV series and good stand-up specials as well as documentaries, probably the best channel ever. I have Telus on Demand, so I can catch up on procedurals I've missed the week prior. I like watching NFL Football and Hockey. It's much more convenient to have my HDTV purely for TV and have my computer for surfing and youtube. I would add netflix on as another option and not a replacement.
  9. ncixcom and ltt, use to watch them every video. this past year, probably every 3rd or 4th video. I have to goto other channels to find the thing ltt doesn't cover. no head to head comparison of speakers / headphones, not many gaming benchmarks, not many real world testing for routers, no pricing tier categories. Needs more catch concepts. Not unlike a late night show where you know specific nights are going to have specific sketches. ie. Every monday is a headphone or mic quality match-up. Every first tuesday of the month is a 'best bang for your buck' segment ... things that would get more than the avergate 200,000 views for such things as a chair or backpack video. 8 minute video's on cleaning brushed aluminum is not really what I need to check out! oh ya, and more smartphone, tablet, convertible reviews / hands-on, but in a showdown type segment, not a single product showcase!

  11. I won't be in front of the computer. I'll be in front of a 4x3" whiteboard practicing my presentation skills. You know how some people have those mic's clipped on their shirt and maybe a reciever on their belt (don't know what they are called or how much), that's kind of the idea. But, since the room is only 12x10, I can probably get away with a standing mic just outside of the picture frame, I was looking at this .... http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/blue-microphones-blue-microphones-snowball-ice-usb-microphone-78908q-1974/10197278.aspx?path=3acd4b51789cf4e91485b7205b3571b9en02 or a lavalier mic ... http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/philips-philips-clip-on-hands-free-microphone-lfh9173-00-lfh9173-00/10299855.aspx?path=08985f5a291fb21ec78bb1a0214dfe75en02 or a zalman ... http://www.ncix.com/detail/zalman-zm-mic-1-microphone-00-13863.htm My Blackberry Z10 microphone is horrendous for picking up audio, so I just need pretty much anything that picks up half decent sound.
  12. I'm planning on making some presentation video's and I am most likely just going to record with my cell phone camera, however, the microphone isn't that good. Is there an inexpensive lavalier mic or wireless mic at a bestbuy or Ncix ? Or should I just run an extended wired mic and clip that on my shirt ? I can always put my laptop close enough to do that and sync up the audio later.
  13. What's your budget and where are you purchasing from if I may ? Off the top of my head, an AH-IPS 23" or 23.8" of some sort.
  14. If you're new, you'll have to get use to what buildings do what, figure your hotkeys and your favorite race than take on some 1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4, 1v1 is diff than 4v4, 4v4 is more fun because you can get away with so much. Generally, just don't turtle, ie ... mass turrets and bunkers. Watching the pro's play will help you learn much quicker than just grinding yourself. http://www.twitch.tv/wcs_europe/profile/past_broadcasts https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhCH_nPE4JTp9HYoc1Hh5JYI5Ehz8Dd9p
  15. I returned that monitor. The floor model also had major color shift. Apparently these Samsung 5xx series are a cheaper AD-PLS and aren't comparable to their 8xx and 9xx series which are way more expensive and of a higher quality panel. It's Samsungs answer to AH-IPS that LG.Display put out. So far, not that great.

  17. I would like to see a youtube tutorial on how properly use back&restore on Windows 7/8, Android, iOS. Backups Vs. Images Vs. Mirroring etc. (PS, Don't need to answer, just a thought for a video)
  18. Hey guys, I'm going to pick-up a new monitor at BB. The first monitor I purchased was the 23.6" Samsung PLS but the panel would wash out quicker than a TN, it wasn't just a dud either, so I returned it. I got a BenQ 2760HS 27" VA panel shipped, new issue is 1080p on a 27" is terrible for reading text. So what I'm looking for is a 24" panel at 1080p for $150-$200 that doesn't have aggressive AG coating and is IPS or VA. I was considering this ... but again, with VA the 'ghosting' just when scrolling websites is noticeable, in-game not so much. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/benq-benq-24-widescreen-lcd-a-mva-monitor-with-4ms-response-time-ew2440l-ew2440l/10280348.aspx?path=172a8a6ed12ca7f25766808d0478eb1een02 If anyone has experience with a 24" that's available at BB, recommendations are welcome. Peace.
  19. Yes, going to get an Iphone 6 4.7in model to upgrade from a 3-year old Iphone 4 when the 3-year contract expires at the end of this month. It should be a nice upgrade from a 3.5" screen. Perhaps go with an Iphone 5s should the 4.7in be to big. But $200 + term is not bad in 3-year intervals. I only wish it had 4K recording because that will be out on some Iphone 6s in 6-months.

  22. I bought this monitor ... http://www.ncix.com/detail/samsung-s24d590pl-23-6in-widescreen-pls-c9-95680-1011.htm My 19" 2005 Dell VA monitor doesn't color shift at all. The Samsung on the other hand, being 9 years newer and a new PLS technology whitewashes as soon as you hit the angles. Faded pics are the Samsung. 2nd photo's are the Sammy. http://www.youtube.com/embed/_KbwWa51lPI?rel=0&start=380&end=&autoplay=0
