  2. This error may occur due to the iastor.sys driver, which is not fully compatible with Windows 10. Microsoft is currently investigating a solution to prevent the driver from being migrated when upgrading to Windows 10. For those of you already on Windows 10, you can work around this error by replacing the problematic driver with the Microsoft storahci.sys driver by following these steps: Right-click the Start icon and select Device Manager. Expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Select the controller with “SATA AHCI” in its name (such as Standard SATA AHCI Controller). To verify that you’ve selected the right controller, right-click the controller, select Properties, click the Driver tab, and then Driver Details. Verify that iastor.sys is a listed driver, and click OK. From the Driver tab, select Update Driver… Select Browse my computer for driver software. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Select Standard SATA AHCI Controller. Click Next, then Close, and then restart your computer. from microsoft website
  3. Hey, I’m trying to find an app that measures my 50 yard and 100 yard dash times for me in track. I want it to stop the time right when it hits the 50/100 yards I ran (tell me if the watch doesn’t update that quickly though)
  4. ok, time to send nicehash an email. Luckily that's the only website that uses it so I don't have to do this a million times.
  5. hello, I broke my old phone and don't have those security codes to access my google authenticator app. Is there any way I can still get in? I can't log in to nicehash without it. edit: I have a new phone
  6. Yeah, it works fine on my tv in the living room. It must be some terrible wiring, the moca led doesn't light up in my room I didn't even notice it.
  7. With auto it doesn't work either, the moca device told me to use it so i tried again while taking that screenshot. I'll put it back but it still doesn't work the default gateway is not available. (with the moca ip) "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP config (auto)
  8. When I put in the IP: windows diagnostic: I tried restarting the router as well. I tried all of those besides contacting Not sure what the ip message means entirely, though edit: the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, i thought I needed to hide that
  9. Did both of those, the adapter I did multiple times. I'll show you what the windows diagnostic tool says
  10. So it is now on for my network, and I did restart it. I still don't have my ethernet working, though. I know we are so close.
  11. You were right, I just need to find where I actually turn it on.
  12. got it, thank you. Let's see if I can find it.
  13. trying to log into the gateway, the username is admin, right? and is the password my xfinity password? because that isn't working.
  14. Where can I find these settings you're talking about? I don't see them on the xfi app.
  15. It's an apartment, should't be that. I think the only way is that it isn't on to be honest. The coax signal is strong on my translite moca adapter in my room, just not the wifi.
  16. Do you think I need one of those 10$ moca poe filters?
  17. it's an xfinity router. Don't know the model but it looks like this and I think it is this one https://www.theverge.com/2020/1/6/21035595/comcast-wifi-6-new-router-gateway-xfi-advanced-security-ces-2020
  18. So I just took the Moca adapter (2.5 by translite) out of the box. I set my computer's ip and am connecting fine to the admin. Also, I can ping the ip and get great results. The troubleshooter said that the default gateway I put was not valid, I have it as what it was before changing my ipv4. 10.0.0.1 I am now using cloudflare dns since i needed a manual subnet mask was auto The adapter's lan indicator flashes like there's power but not a solid connection. Windows is saying that there is an "unidentified network". How do I fix this? or how do I find the gateway that I should be using?
  19. Yes it could also be a thermal issue. Is the PC new? Anything change before this started?
  20. I can tell you without a doubt that it is either your motherboard or power supply that is the problem. My best guess is power supply.
  21. It is definitely hardware. I think first of all if the speed is nowhere near the advertised speed of your provider you should make sure your router/modem isn't in a tight space blocked by big objects firstly. Also, check if it is your pc wifi or your wifi in general by doing speed tests on your phone and pc. speedtest.net . Let me know what happens.
  22. I have had an ongoing battle with my internet for years when I am gaming, and it looks like it's back for round 10. My router is at the very opposite corner of my apartment, I use xfinity. First of all, the speeds I am getting at my desk just aren't nearly as good as I'd like them to be. I wanted to move my router, but we have that stupid coaxial cable that's nailed in. Is there any way I can avoid the coaxial cable or improve the setup at all? I don't have a coax cable in my room so I don't think moca would work (though I'm not too informed on what it is, so let me know if I'm wrong). The main problem isn't the speed, it is the strength. The wifi simply stops working for a few seconds on my pc, and I end up getting kicked from the game. Let me know if you have any advice or recommendations, Thanks for reading!
