Wing Man's Hangar today. It's a patch that will enable Oculus Rift support. It's a "first pass" as they said in todays vid/stream.

Just a heads up, lots of good info in this weeks Wingman's Hangar. Including an official Sythe reveal (now with PBR, omg my jaw dropped) and a solid date for the dog fighting module, which they'll be debuting at PAX East. PAX East is April 11-13th. After the debut they "hope" to then make it immediately available to backers.

I've mentioned the piracy thing a few times. Personally I want to bounty hunt full time and pirate on the side if there's good intel on something worth taking. So let me know man, we'll team up I got a Cutlass, so I'm primed for cutting into the hulls of unsuspecting clients ... clients just sounds better than victims lol

Yes there are a limited number of alpha slots. Ghost says he thinks they'll be extending the number, however I'm of the opposite opinion. They've already extended alpha slots at least 2x now, and from what I see in the forums the final goal was to hand out 250,000. I think this is the absolute max number they want in game when the alpha finally hits (cause that's a ton of slots for an alpha) Right now 9,186 slots are left and I'm sure they'll go fast now that it's that low.

It means your insurance fee will be covered for 6 months. In the event you lose your ship you will be able to put in a claim for a new one. After the 6 months you will have to start paying an in game fee, but I'm sure by then you'll have so many credits the fee won't seem like anything by that point.

Alright so to clarify for everyone (including myself lol) Melting the ship and transferring the LTI to a totally new ship died Nov 26th 2013. What does "transfer" still is if you buy a variant of a ship you already have. So 4Strings, in your case you could upgrade to a more expensive Aurora, but you can no longer transfer that to an Avenger I think it is you said you wanted. My apologies to Jaybird and 4Strings. Sorry I got your hopes up man lol If it's any consolation they say insurance doesn't cost much in game anyway.

Go to your "my hangar" under RSI. Your package will be in there somewhere along with any other perks and such you've acquired over time. Click the arrow to the far right. Click "exchange for store credit" Then pick the new package you want to upgrade to. The money you spent on that package plus it's LTI will be applied to the new package. I'm double checking the forums now to make sure nothing has changed, but it worked fine for me. Plus I remember there being a big deal over transfers and Chris specifically said "Yes, it will transfer."

Ummm unless things have recently changed, yes it will transfer. I have done it myself when going from the 350i to my Cutlass. Looking at my LTI right now, still there.

Actually I think I can one up you on the organisation owning it's own building. There was a time right after the Bengal Carrier was announced as a "thing" in the perpetual universe, people went wild asking for weeks if it would be possible to capture one and re-purpose it. After a series of half answers from devs and Chris, Chris confirmed that yes you will be able to capture one and indeed turn it into your org's carrier. He said to keep in mind however that capturing one would be extremely hard because of the sheer numbers needed. In addition to that he said attempting to do so would more than likely result in accidentally destroying it rather than disabling it to a point where it could be captured. But ... it can be done. And we sure as hell have the numbers =)

Original and veteran backers got a few perks (every time a new stretch goal was hit) that are no longer available to new backers, Late November 2013 was everyone's last chance to get in on LTI, and is no longer available. Sorry =(
