  1. Hi, just a quick question here. I'm getting the new Atomos Ninja V which is an external video recorder for cameras (over HDMI) and it records straight to a 2.5 SSD. Any SSD can be used but not all are guaranteed to work, there is a compatibility list (https://www.atomos.com/drives) but I cant find any useful information as to what would be the best option for reliability? I'm considering sandisk ultra 3D, samsung 860 evo or pro or their recommended Angilbird AtomX SSDmini (https://www.atomos.com/angelbird) all of which are compatible... I would love to get the atomX but it costs twice as much as the Sandisk Ultra 3D for the same capacity or more than $AU 100 more than the Samsung 860 Pro (1TB versions) Are there any significant technical differences worth considering between the AtomX and the other SSDs? I have a GH5 and intend on recording at the highest quality. Thanks a lot in advanced. If anyone has any questions about the recorder I'm happy to answer!
  2. They are all for 4 sticks of ram, the profile names state 4xsamsung... and so on so I didnt want to try. I have 2 sticks of 16gb... maybe it doesnt make a difference? a motherboard that is supposed to handle 3600mhz? I thought it would be possible thats why I got such ram otherwise I would have got 3000 or 3200mhz and 64GBs instead : /
  3. thanks for the info. My G.Skill are B-die. I think I will wait for more people to OC with the zenith extreme to see how they do it with this specific board.
  4. I believe so? thought I culdnt find any specific XMP option on the bios...
  5. Cheers, I had a look and it looks much more complicated that I thought, I dont think I have the time for it atm, will just leave it at 3200mhz for now, wish there was a "quick and dirty" way of doing it like you can with some CPUs lol. By the way, on the guide there is what seems to be a solid explanation of the timings/parameters but when I see on my bios everything is on auto so how am I to know what number to start of with? And would pushing the RAM to say 1.39v or 1.4v and leaving everything in auto be good enough?
  6. Ok, will do right away, if i dont post soon it means it didnt work first time lol Perhaps because (yes) I'm new but I dont see the point on trying any lower, the goal is 3600.
  7. Hi, I just finished building my new AMD TR 1950x build, got the Asus Zenith Extreme and some G.Skill (2x16) 32GB RAM 3600Mhz RAM. I can push it to 3200mhz stable by just selecting 3200 on the bios and leaving everything else on auto but I want to go all the way to 3600, how can I do this? Changing the setting to 3600 and leaving everything on auto doesnt work, system doesnt boot and resets itself to default. Thanks, I did a solid google search but couldnt find anything. PS: I am running the CPU at 4.0Ghz
  8. Yeah I will, all the parts have arrived except the Mobo, cant wait to put everything together and OC the GPU and the CPU : D Will probably make a small log of the build and OC.
  9. $900 AUD for VEGA 64. (cheapest) No pricing on 56 yet but I expect ~750 AUD Just so you can see how they rip us off here in Australia. Definitely not worth the wait. But I'm very keen on a VOLTA Ti hehe
  10. Well I got the EVGA Hybrid 980 Ti and I am very happy with it, looks brand new, doesnt even have dust, the guy had a 4-way SLI config for 3D rendering and said he never OC'ed it. I believe him. I pretty much doubled my FPS in CSGO from ~150 to ~300 without doing any changes to my windows config or the config file itself in CSGO, I know if I did all those fixes I could probably get 500+ FPS but doesnt make a difference for me ATM, my screen only refreshes 95Hz. And still havent played with OC. I still dont get my new PC and have only done one small video edit in which I noticed an improvement in rendering time. Not enough to compare though. Very happy with my decision, I payed $550 AUD (~$434USD).
  11. Hi, I am finalizing my Threadripper build, I managed to save some money on the PSU and would like to get some fans for the case which will be an InWin 909 (I wanted a Be Quiet Pro Dark 900, but you cant get one in Australia). Anyway, I need 3-4 Fans, priority is noise levels, but aesthetics (including RGB) would also be nice to have. I was thinking on getting something like the Thermaltake Riing Plus 14 TT Premium Edition 140mm but RGB doesnt work with Ryzen and was wondering if it would be the same with Threadripper, I assume it is. So what would be a good or better alternative? I looked at the Corsair ones but the LED lights seem to be very light (washed out colors). I know there are heaps of less known fan makers but I dont know any and would like to get them locally (inside Australia). What do you guys recommend? It may be important to know, I will have the CPU cooled with the Corsair H100i v2 (2x240mm) and the GPU will be an EVGA 980 Ti Hybrid which comes with a 120mm fan. Since I'm at it, any RGB strips/lights to go with it? Thanks!
  12. so as soon as I got home I went to purchase it and its out of stock... yesterday when I called they had no idea when they would have them in, 1 hour ago its in stock, I call now they tell me they dont have stock and tell the guy that they had stock 1 hour and he immediately starts blaming the mining community. I ask when will you have back in stock, he has no idea, I tell him so you expect me to refresh the page every 5 minutes? He tells me "good luck, keep trying"... He is probably part of the mining community, what a useless D*head. Sorry but what kind of customer service is that? Oh well
  13. Damn. And at some point I thought on doing the same lol. Fortunately I found someone with the corsair AH1000i in stock at the same price as Seasonic 1050W.!!! Now to decide on which one. Im inclining towards corsair because it has 10 yr warranty vs 7 with Seasonic. And corsair has that link feature which like. Any reason to go for Seasonic? Thanks again.
