  1. My computer that I built 6 months ago is having a big issue. I would click on Google Chrome, Star Wars Battlefront II, or Fortnite and then, my computer doesn't even go through the regular restart stages and does a hard restart. I have tried a different power supply, still happens. I have tried a clean install of Windows 10 Home, still happens. Then Windows Defender Antivirus picks up that my Fortnite folder was in some way, tampered with but the controlled folder protection stopped it. I also have Malwarebytes on this computer and before I did the clean install, norton antivirus. Any help?
  2. No. I suppose you should get the same specs but with 500GB of data.
  3. I was pointing to the start of the video where there was the "Intel Confidential CPU" with the ROG Dominus.
  4. The NAS and the Office PC's look good, but for the design PC I would suggest this. The reason why I chose the parts from those brands/sellers is because of their excellent customer service and warranty. I chose the Ryzen 5 1600 over the 1400 because the extra 2 cores and 4 threads will be useful in design workloads.
  5. So about everyone saw this video called Intel's Surprise 28 Core CPU - WE RAN IT! and they had a motherboard called the 'ROG Project Dominus" which had a familiar looking socket (LGA 3647) which linus did 4 videos on. The cinebench score is 6109 and I found that the Intel Xeon Platinum 8180x2 bench and a Intel Xeon E5 2699-V4 Bench were about 1500cb between scores. The processor featured is just one CPU. So maybe intel made a 50 Core 100 Thread cpu on one die? If anyone can help me figure out the mystery of the "Secret Intel CPU" thanks. (P.S. I'm nicknaming the so called "50 Core 100 Thread" CPU the "Intel Dominus").
  6. Actually, Linus would have 5 channels. (In order of first created then last created.) LinusTechTips, Techquicke, Channel Super Fun, TechLinked, and TechFixed. And also Linus would probably have to have a dedicated host and editor. Maybe Riley could host TechLinked with Linus and be a TechFixed host and editor? That would sound good. Great Idea!
  7. Sounds like the fan. Maybe try stressing the system?
  8. So I fixed it with a reinstall of windows, (like every other problem).
  9. Well I hope @LinusTech sees this @Zzydm_Ch.
  10. I haven't tested the other power supply yet, but I will. If that does not solve the problem, I am thinking that Microsoft is trying to stop Google Chrome from killing Edge.
  11. Recently I have been having this issue with my computer where I would attempt to click on the chrome icon and then IMMEDIATELY the computer just shut down. I look in event viewer and I see at the exact time the computer shut down there was a DistributedCOM error. This same error happened other times when I was trying to access the chrome browser. Do you have any idea what is causing this? Thanks for your support. (I am literally doing a clean install tomorrow so if you can't think of a way to stop it the problem will probably be gone.) Update: Found a Kernel-Power Critical Error in the Event Viewer 30 seconds before it happened.
