  1. Have you tried using another Port on you card it could also be that the Port on the display is broken. From the pictures it looks like the fragments aren't constantly in the same spot, So i think it has something to do with the ports/cable
  2. Check the clock speeds of your gpu while playing maybe it is overheating or something is badly configured. Maybe check the fan curve
  3. I have a 1600x at the moment and it works really well. I think that the 1600 is also good
  4. Price to performance is a little bit better on gen 1, but i am not sure
