  1. Oh I see thanks! I did order one, should be on it's way but I'm in Canada so might take a while. I'll be tossing a piece on my PFsense box and run it for a bit before I decide to try out my main system. I'm skeptical on the 700w/m-k, and thus running it on there first lol
  2. It's just a graphite sheet, I've heard of the IC diamond sheet but it's rated 35w/m-k. This Panasonic one is 700w/m-k.
  3. Hello all, Anyone have experience running industrial grade graphite sheets on their personal PC's? I have ordered a sheet of this. https://www.mouser.ca/Thermal-Management/Thermal-Interface-Products/_/N-71x7n?P=1y7oiky I'm excited to try it out, but also skeptical about their performance. If they were so good wouldn't everyone be running these right now? I also read they're very conductive so I'll testing it initially on my PFSense box. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience in this? Maybe Linus could do a video on them? They're Panasonic ones.
  4. Like he said. Ram speed matters only when your CPU is fast too. A very high OC CPU gets even better with faster ram. A very fast ram does very little with a slower CPU.
  5. I managed 5.1 @ 1.4v but with -2AVX. Higher score, but my previous OC was 5.0 with NO avx offsets. Not sure if I'll keep as new daily. I'll attempt 5.2ghz now Delid temps max on a core is 75c rests are 1-3 below
  6. That's some unsafe voltage for 24/7 usage. You need to fix that problem when you can. MSI motherboard? In other news I will be posting some new results soon this weekend.I delided using a razor last weekend and yesterday came in the delid tool from China lmao. I got too impatient and I went Razor method and it was easier than expected. Will try to push my CPU some more soon!
  7. Just an update if anyone is wondering.... I bought a nicely rated amp and it's much better than SMSL M3. The SMSL M3 isn't even that good of a dac to me because my onboard audio dac is producing equal if not better sound to my ears on some HD 6xx. I have a 3.5mm male on motherboard split into RCA jacks to my amp. I will buy a DAC later on when I get more money. Something like a D10 or a D30 topping I am looking at. EDIT: ON FURTHER TESTING THE SMSL m3 DAC NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IN GENRES MUSIC.! WAY BETTER IN HIP HOP AND ROCK. I GUESS MY THOUGHT WAS PREMATURE LOL
  8. Hello all, I just got some HD 6xx and they sound fine on my SMSL m3 as is, but I heard these even if they power to good volume can sound bad if they don't have a more expensive amp. So my question is if the DAC in the SMSL is good to use with a more expensive AMP. Or do I need to buy a separate DAC and then have to sell my used SMSL m3 because I've "outgrown it?" I'm using DC usb power + optical from my motherboard which is a MSI Z370 SLI PLUS. In my windows I am running 24 bit / 192 Details Specification: Output levels:1.9Vrms THD+N:0.0006% Dynamic Range:112dB SNR:107dB CHANNEL separation:105dB Sample rate: USB:96Hz(24bit) Optcal&coaxia:192KHz(24bit) Amp output power: 32Ω 108mW @THD=0.1% 64Ω 85mW @THD=0.1% 150Ω 49mW @THD=0.001% 300Ω 24mW @THD=0.001% THD+N:0.0002% SNR:100dB Having 24 bit / 96 KHZ asynchronous USB input, 24 bit / 192 KHZ ,advanced CS4398 DAC chip
  9. 1.32v for 5.2 ghz sounds way too good. Not even silicon lottery sells those kind of chips!! Your chip is good enough! I'll have to look into my chip data because mine sucks lol. Needs 1.345 to be stable and I use 1.35v just because I get higher benchmarks with the little extra juice. I use avx = 0 though, I wouldn't mind hitting higher frequencies but I am thermal bottlenecked at the moment. Anything higher and I start reaching the 90c's. All I can do is wait for china tool to come so I can de-lid and see if I can push my chip to it's true potential.
  10. @DarkSmith2 Jealous of your chip!!!! I'll get to delid mine in about 2-3 weeks ! The china tool is still in China and I ordered it a while ago
  11. Original nintendo sometimes. The one with the orange gun and duck killing.
  12. Meet in a highly public place don't even risk testing it if you want to gamble to see if it's true. If it's true you get lucky; if it's a scam and all the parts don't work then you're out of luck take the L.
  13. Yeah I figured I was overestimating my watts but I will buy a 750-850w power supply for peace of mind. I use 1.345v with no avx offset I recall drawing something like 188w ( I will double check at home) on prime 95 small FFTs Even the article you linked he was drawing near 170w on prime 95 with no avx on 4.9 ghz.
  14. Well on calculators it recommends for 597W. It does seem I use a lot of power based on my devices. 3 SSD, 5 usb devices, a CD/DVD drive, overclocked CPU,RAM,GPU I wouldn't really feel comfortable without at least a 750w. Especially since I upgrade parts pretty frequently (2-3 years). For example I will definitely dump my 1070 for a 1170/1180/1180ti since I want to play with 100+ fps on UW 1440p...my 1070 is just holding me up on the mean time. For example switch my 1070 for a 1080 ti and a calculator recommends me 735w. I overclock a bit more on cpu or give more voltage elsewhere and i'll probably be recommend a little bit more juice.
  15. 8700k running 1.345v on max load no avx offset, ram oc'd to 3000mhz cl 13 on 1.45 v, 1070 gtx overclocked as well +130 core, 650 memory. I'm in Canada. Is my power supply still good enough or should I switch it? After doing some research it seems ultra has gone bankrupt or something since back in those days. The 1000w G1+ power supply is on sale very cheap at a store near my place so that was why I was considering a purchase.
