  1. If you have to go with one of the two, I'd probably choose the 9600k. There are better options though. How long are you willing to wait? What do you need the system for? Gaming, productivity, streaming? What can you afford?
  2. I'm thinking it could be the bearings. I'd say "tear down the card and examine the fans", but you might want to consider just RMA'ing it. Don't take my word as truth however, I am just getting into high-end computer hardware myself.
  3. Hi, just recently I had just purchased a Powercolor Red Dragon RX 570 (4GB) and I noticed my system had started locking up and losing video signal. I have uninstalled my NVIDIA drivers through DDU, and downloaded Adrenaline vers. 18.12.2. My specs are: 12 GB DDR3 @ 1333 Dell Precision T1600 C206 chipset, OEM motherboard (BIOS A20) EVGA 650W G2 80+ GOLD Intel Xeon E3-1225 (yes this combo is as terrible as it sounds) Windows 10 Home x64
  4. I see. Well, there is the XS model you can purchase, and if it's the brand I'm thinking, it could be better than a Cherry MX Blue board.
  5. I have the original Gram Spectrum and I can confirm there is keycap wobble, but it's not that bad. I don't even notice it whenever I type on it. Although, if you want to use the rest of the features of the keyboard, the software is garbage imo. The software is something I wouldn't recommend you use. And if you want tactility, you could do an O-ring mod on the blue model. I'm not sure how much it quiets things down, but it should do the job.
  6. Romer-Gs are the most reliable, most of Kailh's switches (unless specified as BOX) are MX Clones, and Gateron is the same way. I can't tell you much else about them, but I'm sure you can find more details. Cherry, Kailh and Gateron should both have the same lifespan. Also, if you want keycaps that don't wear, I think Corsair makes models with PBT keycaps. Hopefully they're dye-sub (which basically means you'll have them for life).

    which switch?

I'm not going to stop you from buying what you wish, but I've heard not-so-good things about Romer-Gs and RAZER as a whole. I'd do some research first (if you haven't already), and if you find both to be not worth the price, you can find some key switch testers and take it from there. Those things I mentioned, I should probably talk about them. I've heard RAZER products only work for about 2 years, and Romer-Gs don't feel that great. Although, take what I'm saying with a HUGE grain of salt, because I don't have personal experience with them.
  8. If you NEED those Silent Blacks, you're going to have to de-solder them from the board, which is time consuming. I would recommend what DrDerp said.
  9. Macros. You can set every button on the G502 to do a keyboard input, which can save time.
  10. Another thing to add is switch testers, they can really seal the deal.
  11. Kailh BOX Switch tester (10 switches) (KBDfans link) GK64 Hotswappable keyboard (KBDfans link) Buy the switch tester, see which switches you like, buy the switches and then the keyboard. Make sure to chose "no" switches before purchasing. The same site sells a 10 pack of every BOX switch.
  12. Oh boy, I think I have some things for you. Try this and see which switch you like. Once you find out, buy a GK64, choose "No switches", and purchase your switch of choice separately. By the way, any MX mount keycap will fit onto those switches.
  13. This might be a hard sell, but how about a Matias Quiet Pro? $150, USD. It's linear, and it's an ALPS clone (have fun finding keycaps), but I've heard they are very quiet for a mech.
