OMG it works! The 4 adapters just arrived and i installed the 4 16gb so-dimm sticks into my pc with the core i5-6500. Now it's a zombie - it has a crappy core i5 and 64gb of ram. Mind blown! Linus - you are the best!

It's called COM Express. I have a COM Express Type 6 carrier board and some CPU boards for them - with notebook Core i7 CPUs and DDR3 so-dimms and Xeon D and DDR4 so-dimms.

Ordered 4 of them from amazon (they are more expensive there but i will not have to wait for a month to get them). I hope they do work - because i have a TON of 16gb ddr4 SO-DIMMS laying around, i upgraded both of my laptops (Lenovo and Dell XPS) to 32GB each and now i don't know what to do with these so-dimms. And now this! Oh man, please don't say it was an April Fool joke!
