  1. Yeah I will try it on another machine but I have already tried the hdmi. When using the hdmi on a console the issue still occured
  2. After the last windows update my ASUS VG278HE monitor has white horizontal lines across the screen. I thought it was a compatibility issue so I updated and my drivers(gtx 1080). This reduced the amount of lines but one still remains. When I change the input to hdmi from dvi the line is still present which makes me believe there is a monitor hardware issue and that it coincidentally occured after the windows update.I am planning on pulling the monitor apart, just wondering what I should be looking for (e.g. loose cables, blown capacitors). If this is truely the end just wondering what peoples opinions are on a worthy replacement, 24-27 inch, 144hz monitor?
  3. Would a 1080 be pushing it, im just opening myself to options. Thanks for the advice
  4. I am currently running a system that uses an i5 4670k and a Gtx 780. The 780 is starting to get on a bit and its visible in various games that I am playing. I am wondering if it is viable to keep my current CPU and just upgrade my GPU to a gtx 1070. Could there be a bottleneck present, or would i best just to invest in a complete new system. I play video games at 144 hertz at 1080p. Thanks in advanced
  5. Location: Australia Budget:1300-1400AUD Aim for this build is to provide a good mate of mine with a capable PORTABLE gaming rig he can use to play games at 1080p, including League of Legends and various AAA games. Hopefully allowing him to play games for at-least a couple of years. My Current build for him: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-7400 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($259.00 @ Shopping Express) Motherboard: MSI B150I GAMING PRO AC Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard ($155.00 @ PCCaseGear) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($155.00 @ Centre Com) Storage: Intel 540s 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($135.00 @ Centre Com) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB Mini ITX OC Video Card ($309.00 @ PCCaseGear) Case: Fractal Design Core 500 Mini ITX Desktop Case ($89.00 @ PCCaseGear) Power Supply: Fractal Design Integra M 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($99.00 @ Mwave Australia) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($129.00 @ IJK) Total: $1330.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-02-03 21:11 AEDT+1100 No Monitor is needed nor are peripherals. He doesnt need much space as he only uses his hard drive space for the current games he plays and deletes what he doesn't. Just wondering if this build is sufficient and if there is anyway of sheering the price down a little.
  6. Honestly would be great for outdoor entertainment, especially pared with good speakers and movies, portability is a plus as well.
  7. I purchased a BenQ EW2740L a while back now and have been experiencing issues with it on and off(Hidden pun) during this period, usually the problems are resolved easily but the problem is occurring more often recently. What happens is my monitor turns on and works in standby 100% off the time, yet as soon as there is a signal the monitor cuts out, to get the monitor to work again I have to fiddle around with the power cable, if I get it to work again it usually will cut out at a later time if not instantly. From what I have gathered the issue is caused by a bad capacitor. Should/How I attempt to replace the capacitor or should I send off the monitor for repairs, home repairs are probably the most cost effective as I live out in the Australian Country and postage for the monitor would be excessive. Thanks
  8. I bought a new pair of headphones, sennheisers hd 439, they worked perfectly on my phone(for a while) but would cut in and out on the left hand side, yet so did my other headphones. I then tried this on my computer. My Hd 439's worked properly for half an hour then the left hand side stopped working, I switched to my other headphones and the same thing happened. PLEASE HELP!-
  9. Headphone recommendation?
  10. What headphones would you recommend?
  11. Well my astro a40's have pooped themselves, So I am looking at getting a new headset/headphones. I am willing to spend about $200-300 Mainly playing csgo and other fps' I had a few ideas of buying headphones and getting a modmic, is this a good idea? Would rather the recommendations be from Australian websites! Thanks in advance for any advice
  12. That's really true. Going with a decent pair of headphones and throwing a ModMic on seems to be a very practical thing. This way you get the best audio and microphone quality!!!
  13. I own a pair of Astro A40's, and personally they are great. The sound is nice, the mic whilst not being the best is decent. The build quality for my pair is excellent(I have heard different opinions though) . I have dropped them, thrown them and used them extensively everyday and they are still going strong. The price is what brings them down. You really do pay for the brand. There are better options for the amount of money they cost. But if you need a headset for different platforms they are great.
  14. Not really I run it on Ultra with a 780 and an i5 4670K! In editor I get 150fps and multiplayer I get around 60 But saying that I allocated more RAM, VRAM and Cores to the game.
  15. Try a couple different altis life servers, if not launch the game through the arma launcher and change the settings, allocate more RAM, VRAM and CPU cores. I did this and boosted my fps through the roof.
