linus, read please... it's fine now. the GX/PX/GM/SGX fixed the ripple issues by moving some caps from the cable to internals. the GX and SGX have shown this in reviews already, even if i find protections set rather high, it's all good so far.

Anthony, i don't know where you got the love for the PTM for, but at those wattages, i'm totally fine with that you do

dagger pro =/= dagger, this one is just... as funky as the marketing almost

"Wrongly configured +12V OCP and OPP"

outside of the Corsair SF, EVGA GM, Seasonic Focus SGX and Fractal design Ion+ gold sfx i haven't really seen any other really good small psus

i won't touch on silverstone, those guys keep confusing me

and just so you know, it's awesome to see some community work into the video's!

now, time to fall asleep

Interesting... Good to know Seasonic is usable again. Since we don't have the hardware required to test PSUs in-house and nobody here really has their ear to the ground in regard to power supplies, we typically look to other reviews and community sentiment. In my case, I used to read JonnyGURU, but about a year ago the volume of articles started dropping off and now that OklahomaWolf is gone, there hasn't been one since April...

Anyway the PTM "love" is more that it's such an affordable 80PLUS Platinum model at these wattages, and the reviews I've read (such as the latest review up on JonnyGURU) paint it as a pretty solid if not exactly spectacular little unit. If I were going any higher end than that, chances are I'd look for something in the "A+" or higher tiers on the forum tier list.

@GabenJr the only problem with it really is that JG (or Oklahomawolf) doesn't so much protection testing. might be interesting to look at someone like aris once in a while (techpowerup, tomshardware). but since a recent revision i try to include some sources down the list
