Kevin_GTX got a reaction from MxRider9637 in $1500 pc gaming build.. would like some critique
I would go with 8GB @1600mhz ram because you won't get a noticable performance increase with the higher clocked ones especially in gaming. And personally i would go with a cheaper motherboard and use the money you save on both to buy an I7 4770(k). apart from that it's a solid build.

Kevin_GTX got a reaction from tristan1035 in Budget build for a friend (Completed!)
This is the completed build that i made for a friend. I personally picked the components, and put them together in one afternoon. The budget was 450,00 euro and i exceeded the budget by 10,00.
Components
- Aerocool V3X Devil Red case
- Intel Core I5 2500K
- MSI B75MA-P45,s1155
- MSI Nvidia Gtx 660 Gaming
- Corsair Valueselect 4Gb ram
- Corsair CX 430watt psu
- Dvd drive (from old pc)
- 750Gb hdd (refurbished product)
- Extra intake fan
- Windows 8.1 (non retail)
I did some cable management after taking the picture of the inside. Unfortunately there wasn't much free space on the sides for cables i didn't need. But because of the free space behind the front intake fan i still managed too keep fairly good cpu and gpu temperatures idle and under load. I hope this can be used as proof that a decent gaming rig doesn't have too be expensive espacially when you use a couple of components that you can scavenge from an old computer.
